Unboxing was straight forward, this bike was packed really well..
even for Cannondale standards back in the early 90's

Lifting the +100 lb. bike out of the box was not easy, even without front wheel & all parts mounted.

Less than 30 min., it's assembled & charging.. will take a spin once charged.

^Love it. Nice spoke pattern. The muffler pointing up must be nice in winter :)

Mounted a set of ACS rims I laced a while back. I'm thinking about mounting some freestyle tires and hitting the local skatepark. I'm 50. What could possibly go wrong?

2020 Infinito CV with Ultegra and Campy rims. Had it two weeks and put 300 miles on it. Compared to my old steelies this thing climbs and accelerates really well. Took me a week to dial everything in.

Just added a Selle saddle which weighs next to nothing but costs next to something else. When the temps are over 80 my feet swell and start to really burn. Ordered a pair of S Works Vents to hopefully keep my feet cooler with no pain. Never needed this fancy stuff in my 30s and 40s, but if it keeps me on the bike...

I have been thinking about a new bike for some time and the Bianchi is top of my list along with a Specialized. I don't really need a new bike, but I am itching for something new. Let me know more on how you like it or things you dislike about it.

Frickin thieves...
My 12 year old son's friend came over yesterday morning in tears. Someone broke into his parents garage and his was the only bike in there that wasn't locked down.
Poor little guy was heartbroken.
Was a nice little Norco Fluid hardtail.

You definitely don't want to catch any air on those Zs.

One for Byron...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1595899540.JPG

My son's buddy that had his bike stolen the other day showed up today with his dads bmx bike.
Factory Kuwahara from back in the day....
Was in great condition.

What I like so far: The Countervail technology in the frame does a good job at taking some of the harshness out of rough roads. I can ride farther and not feel so beaten up. But then the frame geometry is not a pure racing bike because it is an “endurance” bike with longer chain stays. More like a gravel bike. The Ultegra gruppo works flawlessly. Disc brakes are great.
Dislikes: Steering is not as quick as my racing bikes and takes some getting used to. The bike is not super light, 17lbs, but still performs better than my heavier bikes for climbing and accelerating. Again if you are looking for a racing bike, you need to go up a level. I was looking for comfort, racy looks and a good all rounder.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. They are selling a 26" version of that now.

Market Value

Hi Byron: what would you think this bike is worth today? $500?

Not sure why images are not showing up (at least for me...) I tried the "old" method of uploading and the new one. Images (3) are ±350kb each. When I edit the post, there are hyperlinks for the images, but none show up. Weird...

Open your images in Paint and save as jpg format. You are trying to post png images and that doesn't work here.
After saving as a jpg then upload those images.

Brother taking a trip across New York this week on the Erie Canal bike trail. He's highlighting Cuomo simply to chap my Dad's ass.

Interesting bicycle. I think he has close to $3k in it with added bells and whistles.

Thanks Bill! Didn't realize I didn't have jpgs... Mea culpa. In any case, here is the bike that is for sale locally. Totally outdated, but totally cool (IMHO). XTR groupset, Spynergy wheels, etc. Wondering what a fair price for something like this would be....

Not sure but it is a very cool bike, Gus.

gtc 07-30-2020 01:06 PM

I suspect that bike would probably be worth more in parts, since it's such a grab bag of different era components.
Those Spinergy wheels were heavy and poorly received, but it seems like there have been a few sold on ebay lately for some reasonable money.

I know you guys are all proud of your bikes and stuff and I really don't want to come off as trying to one-up anybody, but I'd like to share a pic of my bike.
it cost me my whole life savings, but I said what the heck.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1596140135.jpg

I know, pretty awesome. It has front springs and everything.
My wife bought it for my son ($75) to use his freshman year on campus, but after that it just sat so I snagged it.
I've been putting around 30 miles a week on it, which translates to 100 miles on one of newfangled light weight bikes.

Seller wants $500. Not into parting it out and sell for parts, just thought it was a cool bike, but yes, definitely a hodge podge of eras
