Yum. I have a Technos but it doesn't get out much, most days on on the SL8. At 67 its usually 1-3 days on, then a day off for recovery.

I got my azz handed to me today. 10 miles in, three guys decided to take long turns up front doing a tad over 30 splitting the group out back on the slight incline sections. This went on for about 8-9 miles. We stopped at a light and lost a bit of firepower. Some of the slower riders were pissed and mouthy about it at the light. I was near the front the entire time and did not want to miss the break if it happens. Took my turn pulling and cranked out as much as I could for a little over a miles without blowing myself up and getting drop. I have no idea how fast I was going but I sure was trying like hell to split the mouthy few. Another guy came up to me as I slotted backed into the group near the front 7-8 places to get some much needed relief. One of the guys pointed at my stem and complain that I have no computer and that I need to get one to better pace ourselves. The complain was that I was going too fast. I was in the same gear when we were going 30. my thinking was, I don't need no stinking computer. Do my turn up front until I can't anymore. At about 35-40 mile mark, the hilly section, I was spat out the back. Rode the last 10 miles with a couple of guys that were dropped. both my thighs were started to cramp. The coffee after made the suffering so much better. Going out with a smaller group and do it again tomorrow. I hope to recover by then. It is suppose to be a fun, recovery ride. No one goes over 20 but we will see. Someone always starts siht and crank the pace up. Too much fun

Right now I have 5 "rideable" bikes (2 road, 2 track, 1 gravel).
- Lots of spares, tools and frames etc from decades past.

My most recent purchase. It's my daily Winter bike.

You have winter there? I thought its always sun shine and people running around in shorts and flip flops

All mine are ride-able but one steel frame that's been stripped and primed. One day... I have a couple groups that are just sitting around. Not sure what to do with them. DA 10spd electronic shifting.

All together, I counted 9 off the top of my head. I want to get rid of them and gain more space. Less stress

Yes but our Winters are nothing like yours. At night in the middle of Winter 3 degrees Celsius (37.4 Fahrenheit) is about as low as it gets. It does get a lot colder at night in the desert when there's no cloud cover.

I'm de-cluttering my life right now but I can't part with anything related to cycling.
My kids will have to deal with that after I'm gone.

^^^ That's the Preamble I assume? Really solid bike for the $$$. If one had to have one bike that sort of does it all, that would be it. Love the saddle.

Tell em' don't worry, the rides are getting out of hand, and next week they will be starting A B C groups.
"A" stands for agony.
"B" group will be riders B*****ing about the pace.
"C" group stands for Crying, like little babies.
Something for everyone.

Yes it's a first series Preamble with 9 speed Microshift. It had been sitting in the bike shop for a while so I got a good deal on it.

With just this minor adjustment, I might have kept up with you and your boys for a while; knowing what I know about you though, I would have been one of the backmarkers in the first few minutes...

It's cool that you still have the legs to keep up with the big dogs!

I'm hoping to test ride my rat bike by the end of the week. Added some details over the weekend including some 'distressed' waterslide decals I made. The MSU license sticker is original to the fender.

I took the day off today.

I am going to shop a few stores and look at Gravel Bikes. I have a Surly Crosscheck, that I ride for "milk runs". but the brakes are cantilever types and last time I bombed it down a hill it got exciting. too exciting for me.

thinking Poseidon X gen 3..upgrade the brakes and add a dropper seat post. or just walk into a store and buy a Specialized. dont know.

my sister's ex hubby wants me to do some gravel meetup with him. fully supported trips. sounds fun.
