Ha. I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Tip is actually a good match to the engine. But my garage is full up.

Although I have not been looking at Targas, this one looks nice. Not a factory installed aero kit and priced a bit high (I think). Still a nice looking car:

I'm looking into a 2001 996 Cab C4 that local to me. Still waiting for more details from the seller concerning maintenance history.

120 k miles, manual, blue, full brown leather interior, no damage in or out. $14,500.

If all the records/ppi check out, what do you think of that price point?

You could put $10k engine in it and have a $16,000 car....

If you look hard enough, you can find a Mk1 tiptronic for $16k with the engine already in it.

There is 30 K loss disguised as a good deal.
Or, how do you spend 10K and then spend 20K more and call that a win?
Or since when is a 10K investment guaranteed to lose 2oK more a good deal. ?
you could not run fast enough to give that to me..........in the end you have to sell it..LOL JMO

Cars for Sale: 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S in Roanoke, TX 76262: Coupe Details - 398558468 - Autotrader

Not sure about the aftermarket aero or the yellow brakes on this one, but otherwise looks like a really good price on a C4S with a newer engine.

I've been trolling for 996TTs, 997S or a 1M for like 2 months now. Just waiting for a good one and REALLY trying to avoid talking to dealers. The yellow on your car is amazing. Also, are those sport seats I spy?

Hey, just spotted a Tip Speed Yellow with super low miles; cosmetic mods.

That's actually a really good price for a C4S. And I think the calipers could be painted from the factory.

Saw your PM, your inbox is full btw. Nice car but I don't typically buy tips.

Yup, really nice deal and a great looking car. I've seen other 996s with yellow calipers, but I'm not sure if that's an aftermarket refinish or factory option. Yellow is typically PCCB, but I don't think that car has them.

TIP :(

Must be manual.

I'm going to look at a Black Sapphire Metallic 1M this weekend I think. I hope it is good.

Sombebody here made an 'if only it were a Tip...' comment. Tips are a valid choice with 996TTs.

There is nothing on the build sheet about PCCB's or otherwise painted calipers so it's probably an aftermarket refinish. If I was in the market right now I'd be giving this one a close look at that price...

I'm with rammstein on tips. They may perform ok, but for me at least it takes a lot of fun out of it.
