You are correct, but one would think an officer of the court to be of higher character. I know how Sixty felt, we had a cop next door and he was a total D o u c h e. He and stupid wife and PD kid moved out a month ago, our whole family danced with joy!

Like I said, I was just playing devil's advocate. I am guilty of letting my dogs run off leash.
I had a cop neighbor before. Also something I'd rather avoid. They moved "up" long time ago. "It was time to move up" was the reason to get a new house back in the 2005 real estate boom days. Many of those were found foreclosed and living in an apartment in 2009 ... G |

), and once my dawgs are properly trained (voice and hand commands), then most never see a leash again as they'll stick by my side upon command. Having a dog on a leash (many are NOT under control even then) is not how I roll and never will. I've NEVER had anyone say a word once they see my dogs' behavior however...YMMV. I'm sure that wouldn't apply to EVERY dog, but I know mine and have control once they're trained properly (6 months or so). A leash is NOT required, and I really don't give a flip about some silly law. Probably depends upon where you live too....In a rural area, many dogs will never have a leash on in their life I'm not a lawyer either

One funny about a lawyer breaking the law, I had the assistant crown attorney (same as a DA), that had a bay window westy, that she couldn't get licensed without some exhaust work. A tow was going to run her $150.
She couldn't risk her job driving an no tag/uninsured car, but was willing to follow her new husband as he drove to my place. Ontario law the owner can get a temporary tag, but a buyer can't, she told me that the law was stupid. Then she admitted that she has prosecuted people for the same thing.

The neighbour asked me where the lawyer worked as she was going to report him to his boss for his infractions. He works for the govt. making legislation. I would not tell her where he worked so his job would not be jeopardized.
