Disclaimer: My divorce was almost painless as we had no kids together so I have no lasting connection to my ex. It was a relief for both of us to get out of that toxic mess.

At my lawyer's urging I paid her half of my accrued pension value so I wouldn't have to pay her when I retired.

And life has never been so good.
I think this is so important.

After my mother died my father was a wreck. Different circumstances but the pain and doubt (why her and not me?) are perhaps similar.

He had a Lotus Super 7 in those days and moved to DC to be near me and my wife. We would take long drives together and it was apparent he thought his life with women was either over or never going to be the same.

Well it wasn't and it was. It took a bit of time but he met someone and found the next person to share his life with. 22 years with Carol before he died.

Relax.

What’s My Attachment Style and Why Does It Matter?

Here's some really basic info as an intro to understanding how we all interact and why.
.
Much more detailed info about same from a Google.

Did someone say spring skiing?

Let me know when you are coming through Cowtown if you are skiing the big three. Been out with my young man (turns 9 tomorrow!) about 5 times this year.

Serious question, did you check into getting a lawyer yet?????

If not, get on that pronto! Like, yesterday!

How late into the season can I ski

Is sunshine or Louise still open by the week of May 6?
(I think Louise closes that day but Sunshine stays open longer)

If so how has your season been for snow? Lots of base or will it be pretty sparse by then?
If Im lucky it will be one of those years where you get a few good dumpings though April and into May

Not bad snow this year. Not a record year but not bad either.
Sunshine goes late into May. Louise usually shuts down early May or late April.
Fernie has had some wicked snow but they will be getting a ton of rain (usually) in their shoulder season to wash that big snow year down the river.

Fell down some stairs this week and hoping my ankle feels good enough to ski tomorrow....

Igor: I can remember what my dad used to say in times like this.

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: What did he say?

Igor: 'What the hell are you doing in the bathroom all day and night? Give someone else a chance!'

Will you be returning to "normal" now on the board, or will you keep your new name like Odd-Job-Uno and Joe Bob?

Kind of torn on that. The ex does know about Pelican and has lurked in the past. She is still angry and bitter, really don't need that in my life anymore.

Incredibly I couldn't play it until I got the blues...

If someone can upload I will send a clip of one of my very first attempts at playing this

3 months later The ny band had a camera person so I will also try to track them down
(Included a four preice horn section. An honour and a blast!!)

Holy crap Wayner!!!

Not to derail your thread or anything... but that stupid comment I made about videos above was my 1731'th (st????)response on Pelican,

When I got divorced, my first race I entered was under 1731. I won it outright. I was so damn angry about life and such I blew everyone out of the water. That day was a real turnaround in my life! Went out to the garage and pulled up the race number!

Here's the screenshot from today and my race number from 15+ years ago!!!
