I don't drink coffee ever, and refuse to ever go to Starbux again, so a good juicy burger for $8 from Five Guys is my vice....about once a month. The fries are to die for also, but too much salt for me.

As far as I know, they never did this. They came under a great deal of pressure to ban guns on their premises, but to their credit, they refused to do so. Their official position was that they would simply honor whatever local laws were in place at the location in question. They refused to enter the political fray on this one. Or on any other issue, for that matter. I can respect that.

I drink Starbucks everyday. We buy the VIA instant packages at Costco. It is about $.75 per cup of coffee when ch is cheaper than making a pot that will only have 1 cup drank from it.
I usually go to a different coffee house when I am downtown but will sometimes go to Starbucks. I enjoy the Pike Place and 1/2 sweet Mochas. This thread is dumb. Might as well as been ‘Boycott Scotland’ and been about how scotch whisky tastes terrible... I enjoy good coffee. Starbucks is mediocre coffee but predictable unlike gas station swill.

The local tavern has much better burgers and fries for less. Plus, it is a lot closer. A workmate loves the burgers and fries at 5 guys so it just goes to show eveyone's tastes are different.

Nothing wrong with their food but $18 for a burger fries and a drink from a fast food place is steep.

The lesson here...
Affluent older guys who can afford Porsche’s consider Starbucks too expensive. Hipster millennials with unpaid internships and five room mates think nothing of dropping five bucks a day on coffee.

it is expensive, for swill........... and spending $5 on swill every day will ensure you NEVER have the bank for a P car.

And hell, a bad burger still usually isn't that bad. It's like bad pizza or bad sex, you're still probably glad you had it when you're done.

You beat me to it. The burgers are just burgers, but the fries are the very tasty.

While Starbucks has been apologizing and the Philadelphia mayor remains critical, Philadelphia’s police commissioner is standing by his officers.
Ross says the two men asked to use the restroom. A Starbucks employee reasonably told them that bathrooms were for paying customers only. The employees then politely asked the two men to leave the store if they weren't going to purchase anything. Police were called after the two men refused to leave. According to Ross, officers then responded and politely asked the two men to go, yet they refused. After 15 minutes, the two men were arrested without incident. The two men were later released after Starbucks declined to press charges. "They did a service that they were called to do," Ross said. "And if you think about it logically, that if a business calls and they say that someone is here that I no longer wish to be in my business, (officers) now have a legal obligation to carry out their duties. And they did just that." Ross – who is black – also pushed back against charges of racism. A cup of coffee from Starbucks is ~ $2.00. Still way too expensive IMO, so I buy their beans and brew at home. You must be talking about the coffee dessert drinks they sell at break neck pace. Look at the masses buying them...they generally don't need that bump. Yep I agree on that front.
