It connects at the Oil Cooler as the 911 107 739 10 "Cross Under" Line does.

Len are you still selling this crossover pipe? I can't stand the poor quality bends in under tranny crossover pipes available and I tried an elephant universal but you have to remove it every time you want to install the engine yoke to work on the stand.

While we're at it, I'm curious if this will fit G50 cars? Elephant's does not.

famoroso-

Fitment to a G50 model is easy enough to do with your help.

I can send one as a test fitment that is not assembled at one end and with longer hose.

You can do a mock up with photos and measurements; then send it back to me for crimping.

Yes, shipping cost is a consideration, but this way will guarantee fitment to your needs.

Also want to comment about the 911.107.729.10 Oil Hose to Thermostat.....

I am doing enough of these now that it warrants making up a fixture with all the dimensions the same as what is shown except with an inch longer hose.

If anyone is in need, please email me. These are not Cohline, but I am able to fit Cohline Hose and Crimps for a correct fitment.

Len

Tony... I just faced exactly the same misfit with this pipe. Bent it into position. Did so off the engine as I suspect doing so on the engine would tear the case. Amazing the manufacturer can't make these things so they are correct.

I just bought both these lines as new old stock vintage 2014 from eBay..... Had no idea there were these issues. I have tried so hard to be thrifty on my build in areas where I didn't see a risk. How did I not read about these problems till now, been delaying this purchase for years now.... Will be able to test fit the engine cross over line tonight, I am not very optimistic.

Yeah I was just thinking about this. The line has three connections, one adjustable (the connection to the flex hose to thermostat), two fixed, the oil pump outlet and the oil cooler shroud. There should be no reason the line can't be made to fit exactly the connection between the outlet and the shroud, especially since they seem perfectly capable of making the lines fit exactly the wrong way in a very repeatable fashion. When I did mine it was exactly the same as the photo.

Honestly it's bull ****. This one should be easy. It's not the hard line from the rear of the car to the front, it's a case to case connection. One has to imagine they have an engine block or two to practice on.

I have a fixture to correct this "Cross Under" pipe as well.

Happy to help, just email me.

Got the ebay part today, turns out it's an original Porsche part, vintage year 2000 on one of the tags. And this is how it fits. So these have been a problem for quite some time

.

Will do a bit of tweaking once I fit up the tin and see how much work it's going to take to fit correctly

I installed this line (from Porsche) about a year ago and had the same issue, though maybe not as bad as in Tony's photo. What worked for me was a lot of back and forth between the two ends, bending the tab on the line somewhere between 90-180 degrees down (I think the factory orientation had it sitting high from the nut on the engine tin), and using a longer bolt and spacer to secure it to the engine tin. It's definitely not as close to the engine as it could be, but close enough not to cause any issues, and the spacer makes sure that it doesn't wobble.

David, that sums it up.

I got my wonky line from Pelican. Am going to raise the flag on this to someone in the company. Maybe they have the interest to deal with the manufacturer.
