Recently undergone a tail removal, suspension upgrades, full tune, and Steve Wong chip. Sure is aging gracefully. Pulls hard and remains as tight as the day it was built.

The Steve Wong chip is a nice shot in the arm. Overall, it feels alive throughout the RPM range. Noticeable difference in power and speed. Great value.

My RoW 1985

I am the third owner there are still deals out there guys, I bought this one this past winter for $11,800, 117k miles, tools, books, records.Deals are out there, they are just harder to find...
and you have to act lightning quick. Gone are the days of waiting on a PPI and sealing the deal on a handshake, cash and carry.

I met second owner she had traded it in after owning it for many years, she felt she could not trust it on long trips. they kept it on a battery tender in their garage and used it rarely in the 10 yrs she owned it. The alternator was barely putting out 9 volts when I got it. Problem solved, great car strong runner and she even gave me the complete tool kit, all books german language and english, BBS wheel locks and center removal tool, real nice lady and a great car. No rust no body damage, COA shows ordered with 1 option Cruise Control, no AC. Clean car, great price. Just be ready to act lightning fast...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1410209291.jpg

Trouble with the latching motors!

HI all -

I've got a new to me slant nose conversion - not even sure what year the top mechanism might be. The tub is a 1976 with a slant nose and convertible top conversion (all steel) and 1989 suspension and running gear - including a 3.2L!!

Here are my questions:

1. is there a way of knowing the vintage of the convertible top mechanism?
2. my motors to latch the roof closed don't do anything but make a faint clicking noise when my switch is moved back and forth. (the top is manual, only the latching mech is mechanical)
3. Is there a tool that I can use to bypass the elec motors and manually latch the thing closed?
4. Is it possible / easy to change out the plastic rear window?

Thanks in advance all - any help appreciated - did not find too much info on my 'search' for these issues!

cheers - and here's the pic of the new ride!! (PS, the color is exactly the color of a Cabernet Sauvignon grape at harvest - kinda blue/purple! Perfect since we grow Cabernet Sauvignon!!)

Here's my 89 Anniversary Edition in it's "track suit" (race seats and roll bar). Been thinking about selling it for more of a track oriented car. Has 60K miles, Really is too nice to take to the track but is sure is an awesome car and I'm afraid I would miss it dearly.

Here's my new-to-me '88 3.6 cabriolet posing with a 991 cabriolet. I apologize for the poor picture quality as I stumbled upon this photo op while out on a cruise the other day. I do find it a bit humorous that it was a beautiful day outside yet neither car has the top down!

My cab is a fun ride - euro Varioram 3.6 engine, 993TT brakes, Ruf wheels, Quaife TBD, sport seats, etc... Good times. Similar yet very different when compared to my '87 930.

Check out this wind deflector I purchased last Summer. It took some rigging to get it to fit and for what I paid for it it should have fit right out of the box, but it extended the top down driving season here in Ohio by 3-4 weeks. It looks stock and works really good - most of the time.

Hi Vance,

Does the vertical part fold down?

Do you leave your top release handles in all the time? I'm wondering if folks do... I always put mine in the glove box but I wonder if I need to...

Thanks,

Franny
