Polished the windshield with an inexpensive glass polish kit from Amazon. Removed 33 years of wiper scratches and other marks. A dramatic difference in visibility at night - much, much clearer now.

Started getting it ready for my suspension/steering overhaul. Have all the parts in hand. Ordered a steel bar clamp for the control arm bushing installation. The HF one looks kind of flimsy. Last tool I need is an angle finder. Hope to get one today or tomorrow.

What kit did you order?

^Orange front and rear bumpers would really set her off.

^^^The orange is new. Fuchs were all black changed them to orange to try out. Got to love plasti dip for a cheap quick non permanent change. Also added the Porsche script this week. Still have a bunch of paint left might try that.

I wouldn't do the bumpers.
I think you've got just the right amount of orange.
Looks really good.

Changed out the shocks. Old ones were done. Not too bad for 36 years of use I guess.
Front end is next. Bilstein strut inserts going in along with new strut mounts, turbo tie rods, ball joints, and control arm and sway bar bushings. Will need to get it corner balanced and aligned.

If anyone wants the old Bilsteins to refurbish you can have them for shipping cost.

Started the front end. Driver's side was a piece of cake. Roll pin and strut came out no problem. Passenger's side is more of PITA. Looks like a PO mangled the washers somehow so I can't remove the top nut on the strut insert. Going to get a cordless impact wrench today and see if can't get that booger out.

Yesterday I did valve adjustment to my 911SC for the first time ever. Not that hard!

Jacked up the car, pulled out the FlatStoppers, removed the Irish Spring soap from underneath (can't determine if it really keeps the mice away), pushed it out of the garage and fired it up with for the first time since mid-November with a new Odyssey 925 . Turned on one of my winter projects (Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46) and enjoyed a prance about town. Have an issue with rapidly blinking turn signals, so will check all bulbs. Otherwise all was good. Keep the warmer weather coming!

I took the snow tires off this weekend because it seemed like winter was behind us.

Promptly woke up to everything covered in snow this morning.

Stripped down the left trailing arm. Almost clean enough for the blast cabinet. Still need to get the bushing sleeves out. Hardware will be dropped off tomorrow for plating.
Leaving the right one assembled. Until the left one is put back together.
