For the Sharktuner, it's 1987 and on. Not gonna work on your 82.

31 year old cat is going to be very difficult to remove. I would remove it by removing all the exhaust from where it drops down from the engine all the way to the tailpipe. Once it's off the car, you can inspect it for holes, etc.

Does your state require smog inspections? If so, your going to have to remove the cat and punch out all the insides and then put it back. If no inspection, then you can cut it off and have a local muffler shop make you a test pipe.

We have strict smog laws here in Calif. You can always buy a new cat by Magnaflow. They are very efficient with high flow.

Go to the website I posted and it will tell you the "whole" process they do to your injectors.

So, I got my injectors out and I've decided to just replace them with the Mercedes injectors. What kind exactly and where do I get them? Link please?
Also, I need the injector connectors and I cannot find them anywhere.. Any ideas?

Would it be worth about $70 more ($240) to replace the injectors with the Mercedes injectors? Or clean my current ones ($170)? There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the ones I have.

CIS Injectors can't be cleaned like electronic injectors. There might be companies that say they can, but $70 more, are you willing to risk that?

To be clear. No. Buy "new" injectors. Buy the Mercedes ones. Now. Don't wait. Time's a ticking. Stop reading this. Order now. Your still reading this aren't you?

Only the electronic ones. They do a great job at that too. When you get your next 928 with L-Jet, then your going to pull them and send them to Witchhunter. They clean them in stages, flow match them and they also send you a report of the rates before and after. Second to none stuff
