Thanks Matt Monson for pointing out such an awesome car and for putting up with my ADHD as I searched for my first 911. This forum and it's members truly ROCK. I can't wait to take delivery!

De-chrome those wheels, but otherwise, All improvements in my opinion. I get the sense this car has been well cared for.

Sure did! Scott S has also been super generous of his time, energy, and resources. I don't think I could have bought my first 911 from a better steward. I can't wait to drive it!

Was not fun watching it get loaded up. Interesting side note, this car had not seen rain in 5 years until tonight.
Have a great time Ryan.

Scott, it takes great courage to move on and let go in life. I admire you for it and the fact that you're letting someone else take the wheel for awhile. Well done with your ownership and keeping it so clean.

Thought I'd post some updated photos of my personalization of the car I bought from Scott S.

this has been my favorite POST on PP ever. Not too long, just right.

It had a nice start...then helpful advice, then contractual obligations...god cried and a final recap by new owner of his changes. Well done.

That one did live a long time. But I was right. The UN Bros buy everything and only Keeps the good ones. The rest hit eBay with long stories of how lucky the buyer will be once they restore. He’s slick. I heard the UN Bros. came from marketing in New York City. Certainly shows in the way the run their business. Marketing is their art of making one feel value for the exchange of $ for goods or services.

I'm glad you all like the changes. I definitely do. The car is a little beast. Since installing the WEVO and a new coupling with delrin bushings. I have run into some difficulty shifting from first to second and the lockout when downshifting from 5th to 4th. Since the transmission was rebuilt by the PO before Scott. I'm wondering if I might have a bent shift rod or loose/bent forks. Sucks that the only proper way to diagnose is removing the gearbox.

You will never get a 915 to shift quickly from 1-2. Always shift at or above 4000 rpm and you will still need a micro pause.

Finished product looks nice.

I'm encountering mechanical-feeling resistance when I shift Matt. That's normal? Thanks for the compliment Matt. I'm happy with the outcome. Carpet kit, rear swaybar, and a DAS rollbar next then a track day in October.

You might try fiddling ever so slightly with the shift coupler. Mark everything with a paint pen before you start so you can get it back if you get lost.

The coupler bushings were the first thing I did on my car, and it took me no joke 4 hours to make 1st, 5th, and reverse lockout all play nice together.

Great thread, btw.
