Loosen and remove the nut just behind the steering wheel....keep it as far away from the car as possible....good for a couple hundred pounds in most cases

Thats also why I sent a set of 16X7 Fuchs to TruDesign in Colorado. Turned them into 17X8 and 17X9.5....They fill my wheel wells quite nicely and no spacers of any kind are used...I got to choose...

My apologies....was speaking from my brothers 89 m491....however from my understanding the difference between the 8 and 9 inch Fuchs is all on the inside depth not the outer depth.

OR.....you can do what I did....I am not a fan of road rash either...so I decided the best way to get rid of it was to replace the front bumper with a fiberglass one from TRE and do a wide body...
