Tires for 4.5" Fuchs?

I have the small 4.5" Fuchs on my '67. Skinny 70 series tires are expensive and almost impossible to locate. Could I run something like a 175/65 or 185/65?

What are my options?

Suspension Pan Repair: To prep or not?

I'm going to have my front suspension pan replaced and I'm wondering if it's worth doing some of the prep myself. If I remove the gas tank, etc., I'll need to have the car towed. ..or I can drive it...

Can anyone recommend a shop to replace the front suspension pan/gas tank support on my 911? I want to make sure it's done right by a shop with experience with this sort of project.

No clicking turn signal noise

The left turn signal works fine. Lights actually blink for right signal (front and back), but no clicking noise in dash and light in gauge doesn't flash. Any ideas how I fix this?

Dumb Question: Can someone tell me what pulley mark should be lining up with the pulley housing at idle and 6k rpm? I have marks for Z1, 30 and 35 degrees.

Yes, it's for the '67S. Pertronix said the kit 1866 would work. I guess it's a fairly new one. It's basically the 1844 unit with a different a different sleeve to work with a 6 cylinder engine.

Help Installing Pertronix-Strange tab on points plate

Hi,

In the picture below, there is a tab at about the 12:00 postion on the plate that the points attach to. It's in the way of installing a new pertronix unit. What is it for? Can I remove it?...

What purpose does the smaller bolt serve, anyway?
