Definitely do not need to remove console . Just...

Definitely do not need to remove console . Just press down around the edges of the boot and the ring will pop down and then just pull the boot out at an angle . Very simple .

If alternator is not working properly it will eventually drain the battery and your engine will quit ( usually in the most inconvenient place and time , for example at a major intersection on the way...
