Controla arm replacement is done, albeit no pictures. email me and I'll send it to you. It is a rough draft im sure I will change a few things. For instance, I am designing a tool that will allow you to install the rear control arm mounts without headaches. Putting those on had my anger factor peaked at 11. Let me tell you that human hands hitting forged steel at high velocity is not a good idea.

Jared....
You can tackle the rear wheel bearing changout if ya want......As you know I just did one...the wrong way..haha....so I learned the hard way also. I will say however that it is a several step process for reassembly and one does need "the tool"...($250.00) unless you remove the entire swing arm ass'y & take it to a BMW dealer or shop.. Dave |

Can I second the valve adjustment! For something that is supposed to be done yearly, a step by step would be great. Plus control arms and other rubber parts... what can be done by a shadetree, what can not... rear axles, maybe?

For some reason the idea of gas and Javier together is not very appealing.

Getting back on topic here,
this is what i have planned in the immediate future - Control arm replacement along with drop links and sway bar bushings. - S.I. Board battery replacement and relocation - On board Diagnostics - Rear trailing arm replacement and bushing R+R Plus a whole lot more, chances are i have a rough draft of whatever you may need. Email me at jared@pelicanparts.com if you want a copy. |
