Chris,

My bad, I realized I had some of the numbers backwards after I posted, but I figured most folks would figure it out.

One of the Garrett turbo's I considered was a GTX7635R, which may have performed well with my 3.0L engine. I had a GT3583R installed, but the low end response was too laggy for my 3.0L low compression motor.

There are only a few people who have tested many of these turbos back to back with a dyno...
Internet experts with unfounded opinions are everywhere...... Sad

Loving this video series! I watched a few episodes last night and I am thinking about ditching work early to watch a few more.

After my bad experience with my last Turbocharger i need a new one.

I`m looking forward for the results / difference GTX30 vs GTX35.
Also have 3.4 with alot of goodies. Just want now how the GTX30 run to reedline.

Ken,

Ask and Ye shall receive!

I do have to say this series really has me running a fever, and the only cure is EFI.

What's with the heavy dip in the curve at 47/4800?

Did I hear you say it's "fuel pressure noise?"

Sensor signal noise, which directly affects injector function.

That makes more sense. Are you pulling sensor signal from crank or camshaft?

As in - signal noise was causing a de-sync error right? Was it consistent in that spot or random de-sync errors? I presume this is what we were discussing on the phone the other day.

RPM Boost curve

I have evaluated the video (hope i have see all right) rpm boost pressure build.

GTX 3076R

2000 rpm 0.14 bar
2500 rpm 0.29 bar
2750 rpm 0.41 bar
3000 rpm 0.62 bar
3250 rpm 0.76 bar
3500 rpm 0.85 bar
3750 rpm 0.95 bar
4000 rpm 0.96 bar

between 4000 and 5500 rpm over 14 psi (0.96 bar) after that drop to 0.94 bar till 6500 rpm

I made a comparison between the GTX 3076R and my K27/29
My Data are from my Dynotest (4gear with 98oct)

GTX 3076R K27/29

2000 rpm 0.14 bar 0.10 bar
2500 rpm 0.29 bar 0.20 bar
2750 rpm 0.41 bar 0.30 bar
3000 rpm 0.62 bar 0.40 bar
3250 rpm 0.76 bar 0.50 bar
3500 rpm 0.85 bar 0.77 bar
3750 rpm 0.95 bar 0.90 bar
4000 rpm 0.96 bar 1.00 bar (between 4000 till 7200 rpm drop to 0.94 restrective muffler)
