No, but me and KevinS both bet 187. I called it first. I also saw a 186 and a 188 too, so I'd have nail it to get the gas anyway. I hope I'm way low.

Good luck,

JP

Filled up the truck today. Sheeeesh...a full tank of gas would be nice any day.

I hope Tony hits 250!

Ummm...what's the math again to figure out hp at the crank when based on rear-wheel? I'm horrible with numbers.

What's 187 rwhp at the crank?

assuming a 15% driveline loss

RWHP
------- = Bhp (crank horsepower)
.85

easy way is work back wards...220 SAE @ crank x 15% =33
220-33 =187 SAE rwhp

But we were betting on @ the wheels numbers on a dynojet, right?

The contest is Rear Wheel Hp, SAE Corrected, on a DynoJet 248C.

Sorry JP, didn't notice your post before mine for a guess at 187. I hate to take a decimal place on this so will have to go back and look, and try again. I think 187 for RWHP is a good one though...

...::: UPDATE :::...

Looks like the dyno session will occur this Saturday.

The contest will remain open until I post, "Contest Closed", the post the results, and the winner.

So post on!

TonyG

PS> I just pulled the windshield, dash, lower dash, and all the gauges, along with the carpet, seats, rear quarter panels, rear deck panel. I'm starting my installation of the 993 interior. Looks like the top dash fits in fine, but the bottom dash is going to take some work on the sides :-( Anybody have close up pictures of the sides of the lower dash on a 993... specifically, I pics of the side vents and the side of the lower dash, and a pic of the lower dash as sitting from the passenger seat (for height purposes).... it's a bigger job than I thought!

194. Uh, if I win, can I have the money go toward my motor work instead of gas? It's a good charity, I promise.

By the way, this is one of the most interesting technical threads I have read in awhile. Kudos!

Damn the luck!

I guess a split would work fine since I didnt have to place a bet in the first place. I'll just double up on the next one
