Please help, cant find the oil gallery plugs in the enginecase
Hi guys,
im in the process of rebuilding a 3.0 sc engine from scratch, but cant find new oil gallery plugs (the 22mm plugs that are pressed in on the right top side of the enginecase front and back). Had them removed due to cleaning the cases from aquablasting to make 100% sure there is no blasting material left and the dirt from the last 20 years disassembed in a dirty shed is gone too....but i cant find them anywhere to buy. They are about 22mm diameter and maybe 7-8mm long, made from alloy. Is there a partnumber/source for them or do i need to have them machined....i mean im for sure not the first person to remove them ![]() Will upload a picture later from my phone so you can see which ones i mean. thanks in advance Alex ![]() |

Thank you a lot, thats a great answer, as they are pretty much the only part missing to complete the engine

You can also tap the holes for the right size NPT inhex brass plug, and screw those in. Lets you do the next cleaning job more easily. The two you show should work fine, as there is plenty of length to tap before you start running into other oiling passages. Doing this with some of the other plugs requires great care and modification of the plug end and clocking. But not these two, I think. You can tell by looking into the hole.
