You already know what's coming...

I remember back in the 70s a guy bought a brand new 930. He totaled it 3/4 of a mile from the dealership on his way home.

Clearly another case of 'sudden unintended acceleration'

On the upside, no visible body flex on the Taycan.

That Taycan really resented those ICE powered cars taking up both the driveway and the road.. Where was it going to plug in!

I thought it was going to hit the house.
Disappointed when it veered right.

Just a really stupid driver, likely received a text message and though the gas pedal was the brake pedal. Just like the Audi unintended acceleration debacle.

Bottom line the real issue is: loose nut behind the steering wheel.

So, Glen, what happened to the front end collision sensor?

BTW, I saw one in person last Fri. It's bigger than a Camaro. Good looking but not the best looking car from Porsche.

I have little doubt if one pushes the go pedal (can't call it the gas pedal) it will go no matter what the sensor sees. I would hope the car responds to driver input over sensors.

Have you ever driven an EV ?
They have massive torque on demand

The driver was facing uphill and gave extra throttle blip like he was driving an ICE.
Car lurched because massive EV torque, and he tried to find the brake.
Instead he found the gas.

Watch the brake lights to see exactly what happened.

I drove a BMW i3 loaner once, but I managed to get it back to the dealer unscathed. I was very proud.

My insurance agent is also a personal friend. He says many 'failed brake" accidents are granny stomping on the gas by accident. He had a customer plow into his building doing that.
