and lost a lot of fans

It was similar when Williams was dominating, then Mclaren, then Shumi was winning, then Vettel…. Nice to see it mixed up somewhat.

Certainly it is more exciting to see see close racing and the podium mixed up on occasion. When Vetttel was winning he always showed real excitement, and thanks his crew and fans. Hamilton always seemed to act like he was just supposed to win on script. His handlers had to get him to show some appreciation of the fans.

I would love to see an even mix of winners and maybe a 3 or 4 way close race to the championship. When one team wins the championship with several races left to go, it gets dull.

Hamilton's luck has always been astonishing. What other race was won with winning car crossing the finish line with a destroyed tire for 1/2 a lap. He rarely breaks down, and that was always Botas that broke down. He does indeed have the skill to NOT crash out and smack the wall in practice of qualifying, so much of his "luck" is indeed talent.

Lets all hope it is a Ferrari-Red Bull-HASS-Mercedes all withing range of winning near the end of the season.

I'm sure there are lots of people, me among them, hoping Ham gets it sorted out and gets in the fight.

Oh yea, we all want to see him truly show his skill and fight for wins on a level playing field. For the previous version of the F1 cars he had a new 911 GT3RS and the rest of the field had a box stock 911T.

Lets get ready to rumble!

I don't think there are any worries there. Mercedes will get it figured out within 3 race weekends and be back up front.

When Mercedes first came back into F1 they stunk it up like most new F1 teams. There were stock holders demanding Mercedes stop wasting money on F1. Then they started winning. The critics shut up, and all shared in the glory of whipping butt in the F1 world.

Yup, those parking lot road courses sure are taxing to the racers.

I went to one of the F1 races there (81 and 82), I don't recall the specific year I attended. I did get my first speeding ticket on the drive to LV. Thing I remember most is the sounds of the 12 cylinder machines (Ligier/Matra, Ferrari I think).

I suspect it will be a street course as Miami is doing.

Looks like an oil refinery got in the way of practice today. That and the 83 executions in one day is probably enough to end racing there.

Bring a fat wallet if you plan to stay in a casino.
That five dollar milkshake that John Travolta wanted to try in Pulp Fiction would be the best deal on the strip; unabashed chutzpah. It's never been cheap, but last time I went to Vegas is my last time in Vegas. Can't imagine what's going to happen when the F1 tax gets applied to normal casino life.

A buddy just spent a day in Vegas. $20 for a cup of coffee!

Something funny to sidestep the terrorist attack Near the track and the 4h-plus driver meeting on whether to cancel the race or not (so far it’s going on)

I bet the collective heads of people at ESPN are about to burst. Two Red Flags during Quali and we are still in Q2.

They are just dying to 'thank' us for watching and move it back to cornhole or UCF from 6 months ago.

Hope Mick is alright. That was huge.

Online F1 sites say Mick checked out fine in the track care center . He was sent to local hospital as a precaution to have a scan done to make sure no internal injuries . I bet he will be quite sore for a few days .

It's a shame as he had a real chance of getting to Q3 . Magnuson will carry the load to try and get points . Starting 10th he has a good chance .

Is there any reason he can't race tomorrow? He qualified in Q2.
