Werd. This place would be an indescribable heaven if they all left tomorrow and the economic opportunities for the (legal) people who were left would be off the charts. I was painting on a ladder in Hancock Park 2 blocks off of Wilshire, hundreds of the protesters had to walk by me on their way back and forth from their parked cars. The looks of sheepish embarassment on the men's faces was indescribable as I single-handedly laid to waste their collective lie about them doing the work that the gabacho will not do, and at a skill level that used to be the norm but is a completely lost art because of the Mexicanization of CA. It was particularly difficult for the men w/ their women and kids, I'm sure that their kids had some tough questions for them after that.

I think Monday brought the magnitude of the situation to the forefront for many people. Also I think most people, including legal aliens and naturalized citizens, are just plain pissed that so many people are illegally here and may get benefits and/or citizenship for breaking the law. I also suspect people are really beginning to realize the extent to which our law makers and administrations have been f***ing the dog over the situation for so many years.
That added on to the corrupt goings on that have come to light in recent months, the deal with politicians adding on their (& their private special interests') self-serving amendments to bills at the last minute. Those take away money from defense (soldiers in the field), infrastucture, deserving social services, etc., etc. I'm getting more pissed as I think of it. It has to have gotten really bad when a local TV station editorial (as done this morning) tells people if they're fed up with it all to get off their duffs and vote the bums out of office. Only 27% of the registered voters around her voted in the last election.

I can't find a job that will pay my bills and these *******s come here demanding fair rights and leagalizaation. My state wasn't hit much but I'm still upset. Government and business' are so screwed up these days. Wages and costs of living are way out of wack. Sure these people work cheep but then live 5 families per 1500 sqft house.
