The chassis ID tags were held on with a couple rivets. Joe Factor Sales was right down the street on Burbank Blvd (and before that on Sherman Way in North Hollywood, for you really old farts). Joe sold the same rivets for less than a buck per pound.

It's the same old axe. Been through three heads and seven different handles over the years, but it's the same old axe!

Add to that .....Dan Haggerty's shop and Dan McLoughlin's shop actually shared a common fire door. One could walk or even drive a car between the two with out any problems. The two Dans got along well and shared a common love for cars. MMMMMMM????????

The best thing to do is to find a copy of Starkey's Lola T70 book- it has a very extensive history of most of the cars

Dean Moon (Moon Eyes- remember?) had a gorgeous black T-70 roadster (without moon hub caps !) that he drove on the street. It had an add on rectangular piece of safety auto glass with some weird model t like windshield wiper set up to be street legal

Stan (remember him Kevin) also had a T-70 coupe that was intended for the street. Unfortunately he got ill and passed away before it was finished (Luckily he had enjoyed a Black74 carrera that was RSR's with 11 and 13" Fuchs which became Tom Linton's car that we raced against in POC with the evil cockaroach< hey, had to get some "look at me " content in there! ) Was this coupe the one that hagerty bought?

Then Ed Bohanon had his silver- red striped T-70 coupe (or was it a T-160 - the same looking car with different suspension) that terrorized PCH and the malibu hills for a number of years.
Add in the Sanett brothers with their 2 coupes ( I think John Mason finally rebuilt the tub to one of them recently) So Cal had their share of evil "street legal" race cars

Lotsa sharks cruising the roads !

History of the Haggerty T70 as recieved from the current owner:
The history I have so far is:
10/09/1975 Thomas Richardson sold the car to Guiseppe Santa Cesa for $5000
17/06/1977 Santa Cesa sold to Dan Haggerty.
Dan Haggerty had the original chassis re-skinned and the fuel pods decreased in size.
08/02/1984 Dan Haggerty had to give the car to his wife
06/07/1985 Diane Haggerty sold to George Valerio
09/10/1985 George Valerio sold the car Charles Haines CanAmRace Cars, St Louis
Chales Haines has been very helpful in providing some of the information above to confirming its original origin.
21/12/1985 Charles Haines sold to Peter Kaus, Germany
01/09/06 Peter Kaus sold the car to Keith Newcombe, England

I recall both a Mike and John Bohannon. They both played in the adrenalin junky crowd back in the 80's. One had a Lola and and the other I think was into Vettes. One or both were "studio guys" which explains the Haggerty connection. I think John B was also a fiberglass guy doing Mako's or something? One of them used to store cars at John Schneider's (Dukes of Hazzard) shop over at Riverside and Pass.

I have spent more time at Joe Factors than you could possibly imagine. I miss him. He has not been well. Luky took over the business and opened up her own store a 1/4 mile and across the street from the old location. Still the same metal except called Luky's Hardware. I was just there two weeks ago hunting down some grade 10 aerospace bolts.
