A Chip Foose design for Scrufus Domesticus
Tell me what you think.
Gloss Black up front ( or as suggested semi gloss) Blood Orange and Arctic Silver down low ![]() ![]() ![]() Also keep in mind that a dark tint on the windows will draw the black further back on the sides.

My initial reaction was to say semi gloss, but if the windows are really dark tint, then maybe gloss would be better for continuity. So we'll see this new paint scheme in 2 weeks, right?

That will be 2 JH weeks, calculated using a different lunar cycle than the normal 2 weeks.

I'd would say that if you are going to run the black into the doors, continue it along the door tops then follow the radius up into the fiberglass(?) panel over the rear side windows. This would make the greenhouse appear longer and the C pillar look thin. Might give it a more sleek appearance.
I might also consider a thinner orange stripe (bring the silver up higher) but I realize you are following the body contour with the colors right now. Have fun with it! |

A small tweak makes a big difference.

Kevin,
Perhaps you should do a thin accent stripe that merges the orange and silver instead of the two colors running into each other. Maybe a brighter orange or yellow?

I was actually thinking of an old school touch with an 1/8" gold leaf between the colors.

I like it Kevin. Scheme reminds me of a wheel standing Pro-Gas car. It's "vairy" cool. Dropped with discs brakes even better. I found these - thought you might like. Fat bottomed wide body Corvair's. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think a nice fine line of lime green would work...(thinner than my pic below shows - barely visible from a distance):

I like it Mike, nice subtle touch.
Jeff, those JP cars are probably a rarer jewell than the Yenko's. I'd love to put one of those back on the street.

What was once part of the "We are here to help you" grand scheme is now turned into a cool park.
![]() This wasnt part of the original Nike base but is part of the LAPD communication system. I was inside this room back in 1981 when it was empty. Now it is a bunker. ![]() Part of the old generator room. ![]() ![]() Remember in elementary school those "duck and cover drills"? This reminds me of those days ![]()

Van Nuys airport
![]() Encino res ![]() Smell LA. The smoke from Universal Studios was pretty thick today. ![]() Behind the park is an extensive area of developed hiking trails. I had to rough it 25 years ago on my mountain bike. There is now even a rest room at the park. ![]()

Thanks for posting those pics, Jeff. I've still not been up on dirt Mulholland or the Nike base.
