I've got to find out what happened to Chris. He had a dental appointment this morning and was going to call when he was through.

On a side note.... Anyone wanna go fly a kite today? Sure is windy here!

Porsche Crest Carrera Weight

OK! Here's the deal.
Whoever gets closest to the correct weight of the Carrera will recieve not one, not two, but 5 of these custom lazer etched Key rings.

They look great and will probably end up as collectors items,

My wife interfered with today's plans to get weighed, dear girl.
But tomorrow it should be doable. Will post tomorrow.

By the way, when the Corvair truck is painted I've got this waiting for me.
And under the grand piano in parts is a 2.4 911S motor made for this little gem.

Since I already have one, does that mean I only get 4?

That means that you will have six. 5+1=6

But Dave...you will also unwittingly be the lucky dog to make runs with me while we video the Carrera thru Mul.

I can't wait!

Some deep calculations. I left a message on Chris voice mail today so I cannot deviate the posted weight from what I left on the message. Then a visit to Mr and Mrs Bannings after a mention of heavy seats.

I cannot back peddle now so the weight I guessed is 2560 with the existing seats Chris. Seem high? I have my reasons and of course may be incorrect but I think I'm close.

Jeff knows that the front and rear bumpers are not fiberglass but original Porsche.
He may be correct that those metal bumpers will add enough weight to surprise all of us.

We shall see once and for all!

Porsche Crest Carrera Weigh-in

Hot day in the Valley today so I got down to the Public Scale at a reasonable hour this morning.

The guy at United Rental said that I could just pull onto the scale and he would weigh the car for me for free. He likes Porsches and Mulholland too.

However I wanted a piece of paper that verified the number, so I paid $13.00 for a print out of the weight.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Carrera is indeed the light car that it is supposed to be. 2140? No wonder I can push it around so easily.

Who wins? To be fair lets also give I Mulholland keytag to the two next closest to the winner. Congratulations!
