After seeing a big long patch at Java and Mul, I started to see more nice handy-work in perfect circles on Mulholland in the second location where I have talked about doing Doughnuts (near Fire Stn. 99)

![]() ![]() Then more circles and very nice powerslides at Deep Canyon... ![]() ![]() And more good powerslide action at Stone Canyon and Mul. Awesome! ![]() ![]() Lastly one more dark long burnout at the youtube location. Bravo! ![]() Someone is having fun out there and I have to admit that I'm a little jealous. I need a little more time to complete projects before I can join in the fray. (What a Motivator! Time to get Crackin') In the mean time a vicarious good time will be had for sure. lol Last edited by Banning; 08-26-2010 at 07:45 AM.. |

Thanks very much. Sure seems coincidental that these nicely done marks on the asphalt of Mul are in the locations that they are in.

It's over 105 in the shade on Mulholland right now and the temp is preventing me from working outside. Driveway not complete yet, Carrera still land-locked.

Now that's creative Tagging...and in good taste! I like the Speed Checked by Radar sign covered with the words LOVE in Red. lol In the backround the lone pole without it's Java sign is visible, just behind the BMW M Coupe.

Now i just have to cost up how much it would cost to ship my 993 over to LA to run Mulholland in person. You think Swiss plates and drivers license will confuse the LAPD

Thanks for your interest in the book, The Mulholland Experience. This first edition was far from perfect but still has good stories and a history of the area and of the Racing that occured there. I'm getting to the second book and It will be completely different with little or no duplication from the first book. Also, thank you for your praise but I must remind you that I am but an extremely small player in much more vast story that encompasses many generations of men that contributed to what we think of when we hear the word...Mulholland. The Stories and Lore must be preserved, I'm just glad to have been a part of that. Thanks. ...and please honk your horn as you pass Java. Last edited by Banning; 08-27-2010 at 07:48 AM.. |

I'm thinking of heading up to take a drive sometime this weekend. Most likely early, early morning to avoid tourists. If anyone wants to join, let me know.

lfot- funny you mention it- I work with a guy named Radu- white fiberglass-bodied 911 track car, GT2 wing? I've seen the car parked at work. I haven't had a chance to talk to him.

The Carrera's too stiff to drive that far on the Freeway. If I drove the car to the Race Track, by the time I got there I would require a visit to the Chiropractor, a Swedish massage, and a couple of Lap Dances to be able to drive the course and drive back home again. ![]() Jane and I have talked about having dinner again with you and Kai, let's get together soon. I know that the past few months have been very busy for you. I'll give you a call this weekend, I'd like to hear how your house is coming along also.
