I seem to recall John's first car being a Honda 600, he went through more cars by age twenty than most people do in a lifetime. On the ACR John was in, that was circa 75-79, TVL was about the same time actually might have even pre dated it by a year or two. Both were post CRE,some of who's members by that time had already made the transition to real tracks. Never knew there was an earlier ACR, but version 2.0's members were Dave,John,Chris,Bart,Tim,me and Bobby(not Macgee)
Scary long time ago,and this thread is over six years old already..

I'm moving back to LA this month and will be staying with the parents until I find a place, which means I'll be right at the end of Mul. Maybe I'll run into some of you guys up there.

Hate to double post, but does one of you guys know a 20-something guy named Jesse, works as an EMT and drives a black Mazda2? He was mentioning to me that a friend's dad or uncle or something was a Mul runner back in the day, ran in that Renault/Peugeot/whatever it was cup with you guys and all of that. Don't remember what he said the guy's name was or what he drive, though.

If he's not on here, I'll send word about the thread.

Never heard of Jesse but sounds like our very own Victor Van Tress. Victor made moccasins vogue for heel and toe. I'm sure he will chime in about those Renault Alliance cup adventures battling the R5's and the advantages of a race car with factory air conditioning.

I feel like Rip Van Winkle now. Jessie is a Azuza Canyon runner/Rally Cross driver (and elsewhere) in whatever vehicle he can get his hands on that still runs (not like the black Mazda currently) just like "us" back in the day. I went to school with his mother. Perfect job as an EMT, don't you think? I hope they strap down the cadavers real well.

Haha, I thought it was funny when I found out he was an EMT now too. I've known him for quite a few years now, he went to school or something with a kid who lives a couple houses up the street from my family's place. I think I'm the one responsible for introducing him to the roads out there. I actually ended up buying my Mazda2 after driving his in the canyons and liking it so much.

Could you imagine Chris Bannings parents starting out; shopping for property to build a home off Mulholland before the sprawl and mega-mansions?

Might have looked a lot like the Lookout Inn property east of Chris's neighborhood before they built the hotel (now gone).

When I saw this picture it reminded me a lot of the Banning property.

A young Charlie Sheen? Nah!

I would bet someone on this thread knows who this belonged to? Notice the naca duct on the left side of the hood. It has Mul spelled all over it!

Supposedly happened on the Truck Stop side of the hill.

Things are known to drop into pools unexpectantly around Mulholland Drive. Martini glass's, starlets, cars... even aircraft.

Is that a young Francis Coppola or Ron Jeremy standing on the right?

Another recent mishap at Mulholland and Skyline. Young lady exceeding her talent went over the side. Bummer!

I never knew Fryman Park was a movie ranch.
