Found my cell! It wedged itself under the DME.
I had a good time tonight. It was nice to get out, away from my place and all of the noise (re-piping) my building. The drilling, the banging, my bird going nuts. I was shocked that Gary was there! He is very nice, but not what I expected. Now it is time to figure out what happened to my oil pressure gauge or sender. It's scary to see 6000 RPM's and see that your Druck Press only reads 1 bar. Always something new! Dave

Looks like fun Chris! Did you get to keep the "Fast"? Why is the red GT2 towing two motorcycles? You don't have a spare in the GTI! I hope you two are having fun!
Dave

Had a fun time tonight. Good turnout. Surprise guest appearance by Gary (aka The Ringleader). We heard a noise and Dave saw a guy up on the hill talking on his cell phone. I could hear him say I will be there in a minute. Poof Gary appeared. Surprise alright! Legendary is more like it. He is a blast to talk to.
The Momo seat will go into the annals of Mulholland history. It's a classic. Who needs a beach chair when you have a Momo! ![]()

Was trying but camera and Radu were not cooperating. Properly placed on the yellow line and camera about a foot off the ground would have been a great pose and perspective with 9-10 cars on the sideline. Amazing how a little blur can create the sensation of speed. I'd swear Radu and all those parked unoccupied cars were way over the speed limit. That’s how they do it on SpeedVision but they will never tell you that. ![]()

Wow Chris, sounds like a great trip!! And yes, she is most definatly a keeper.
Guys, it was a good time last night. Nice to see Gary again, it had been years, and years but he hasn't changed a bit. He doesn't even seem to be ageing. It would have been a nice little run but that guy in the red Momo Seat held me up really bad going up Sweeper, and screwed my line down the hill. I finally got around him at Coldwater by using the "shortcut" Again, just because a guy can afford a seat like that, doesn't mean they can drive. |

A great evening for sure, with an almost full moon and a warm breeze over Mulholland. Jane and I were the first to arrive at around 8pm. Some time later Radu came in hot, you can see him understeering into the camera.

We had a nice group made up of the old and the new. We had a surprize last night in the form of a special guest. Old Man Gary showed up and told his stories of days gone by, always interesting to listen to. Thanks Radu for calling him. Funny coincidence that I had called him too after you had.

Here's Gary telling some of the Lore of Mulholland while we were all standing there on the side that infamous street. You can see the lights of the Valley in the backround. There were 10 of us gathered last night. It may not be 60 gathered, but it still brought back the memories of how it was long ago and it's still fun. Thanks to all who joined in on the evening.
![]() These guys are really having a good time. Jeremy who is on the left joined us the first time last night. Just before he showed up, a Targa came wailing thru Truckstop really fast. I commented on how fast it was going to the group. It turned out to be Jeremy making a good introduction. Way to go Jeremy. ![]() |

We drove across Mul to dirt Mul where it is pretty desolate. The bright moonlight gave the place a surreal look as Dave said. Quite wierd looking. Gary lead us up to the nearby hilltop where the intense lights of the Valley can really be seen well. What a beautiful evening.
After our drive to the end of paved Mulholland, some of us went to the Pineapple Hill Grill and Saloon to wolf down lots of popcorn, have some drinks and eat plenty of great food. Thanks Jeff for suggesting Tuesday night as a meeting night (for a change). See you next time. ![]() |

A little OT, but here is one video in a great little YouTube series. Try to ignore the "930" at the end.

What are you guys doing hanging out on this BBS when you are sitting in the Mediterranean on vacation????
BTW, thanks Marisa for the email updates. Your writing style and humor make for a great read to go with the pix. I'm living vicariously through you guys... Have fun! Now, back to Mulholland, et al |

Have a safe flight home!
I'll have two new tires next time you see my car. I woke up to a flat again. This is the third time my tire has lost a plug and have the patch leak. Two Goodyear Eagle F1's are on order. Other than the oil pressure sender issue, I'm ready for Willow again! OK, almost.... Dave
