Actually, assuming that Obama actually wins the nomination and somehow wins the general election (awfully presumptuous, but possible) picking Hillary as a VP would be very smart on his part.
It'd be a page right out of the GB/GWB play book - "always have a VP who's even more reprehensible than you are, it's the cheapest life insurance policy you can get". I wouldn't rule that out as a possibility at all.

I actually hope Hillary gets the Dem nomination. If Richardson doesn't get it, then I want it to go to someone who is easy to defeat.

Negative and nasty will simply cement her status as the Coldest B!tch in America. The voting public will immediately recognize it as the Clinton war machine gearing up once again, in another take-no-prisoners campaign. We've seen it already; a couple of times. Even the dimmest of liberals out there will recognize it right away. That truly would be the final nail in her coffin.

She'll still get the nomination. The early primaries don't mean squat to anyone other than to the real political freaks on the cable.
Does anyone really thing that a black man named Hussein is going to get the nomintation? Winning Iowa and New Hampshire don't get you the nomination. Winning New York, California, Florida, Ohio and some of the other states (where she's polling strong) will win it for her. This scenario is actually playing out nicely for the Clintons. I can see the cover of Time magazine and Newsweek now - "HERE COMES HILLARY!!" "SHE"S BACK IN IT!!" "ANOTHER COMEBACK KID!!" Etc. Etc. The only thing that can lose it for her is if enough democrats think she's unelectable, they'll start jocking Edwards. Oprah's money is not enough to get Obama the nomination, much less the actual election win.

hillary is her own worst enemy. being a 'cold *****' is not the problem. being a known liar and narcissist is the problem. everyone knows that hillary is only in this for herself. she's been jockeying for this since her husband was elected pres. the only reason she stayed with him was so that she can put his face up on the screen while she is campaigning (which has backfired, BTW).

I was thinking it would be healthier to not have a Clinton be the heir to your presidency.
I have a militia-type uncle who is into conspiracy theories, most of which centered around the Rockafellers and the Trilateral Commission back when I was growing up and impressionable. When Reagan was elected and Bush senior was his VP, my uncle predicted that there would be an attempt on Reagan's life, because Bush was the Trialeral Commission's man. Militia Uncle had several related theories on why there were so many attempts on poor Gerald Ford's life (Nelson R. was his VP) and why there were no attempts on Carter. When Hinckley did shoot Reagan my uncle pointed out that Hinckley's family was connected to Bush's family. And he correctly predicted that there would be no attempts on George Bush during his presidency. Saddam tried later. All of that impressed me mightily at that age. Still, in the back of my mind I think if I were Obama I might be more comfortable having Clinton infront of me, not behind me on the presidential podium.
