Hmmm, I don't think so. I think he's just about as likely to say "stay the course" as he is "mission accomplished."

Yep, all of the fools worry about "TERRORISM" when the fact of the matter is that our nation will most likely be brought down without a shot being fired.

We should turn this into a drinking game then. Take a sip everytime he says "stimulus", a gulp every time he says "stay the course" or "mission accomplished" and drain the entire bottle if he says "WMDs".

Yea I do if you're game. I'm sure the speech writers are deliberately avoiding "stay the course" but that's why I'm only wagering $5.

On a smaller scale, I've sure read a lot of posts here by Republicans who say they disagree with Bush on lots of major issues (like spending, budget, immigration, etc. etc. etc.)
The folks on one side of the aisle came to that conclusion several years ago. Heck, if it could pass the Straight Face Test, Republicans would still be singing his praises. But......it doesn't. Again, the real difference here is how long it took the second group to figure out that Dubya's agenda, the Republican agenda, had become conspicuously transparent.

Don't forget Bill Clinton, the knothead that tee'd up the Iraq war, after 7 years of basically ignoring the first attack on the World Trade Center. He was more concerned about his draining his libido, lying about it to Congress and writing his bestselling book than running a super power. How soon we forget. Let's see, how do you spell impeachment?

If I were in his shoes, I would have a hard time mustering the courage to take the stage.

But I'm not, and he has a secret weapon. Whatever he says, all Republicans will agree.

Okay, I'm game. What's your PayPal ID?

If Bush says "stay the course" more than twice I'll send you $5 bucks and if not you send it to porsche@wi.rr.com.

Deal?

Yep, only man in the history of the world who ever lied about sex. It's actually quite amazing to those of us who live in the real world.

I only ran that bar for about two years but I would guess that about 90 percent of the guys could have been impeached! The others were reputed to either be gay or too good at lying to get caught.

The economy is strong...and he is acting to keep it that way. Unemployment is low, interest rates are low, home ownership is high. AQ has...been pretty much dismantled. We have given the Iraqi people the opportunity to choose their own destiny...and soon, we will be pulling out a significant number of troops...
Sounds like a "slam dunk" to me.

+1 to what Fint says.

Then again, maybe just for kicks, he'll say: "We are Sparta!"

America is a strong nation, the economy is fundlementaly strong with low unemployment and strong corporate profits however due to the recent problems in the home mortgage market the Congress and I have worked together to put together a stimulus bill that will help out the average American family, the war in Iraq has turned a corner, attacks are way down, A Qaeda is on the run, we are bringing our troops home and with our help our brave and loyal Iraqie allies are making progress towards having a stable democracy. All and all things are heading in the right direction.
