I am real happy the forecasters were wrong. They kept predicting 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch of ice here. Right now the grass and vegetation has ice but the streets are just wet. Just west of the metro it is icy and far northwest Oklahoma. The storm goes from the Texas panhandle to Ohio.

Hope you guys are having a good to decent Saturday.

We are supposed to get near 50 degrees next week. It doesn't bother me a bit.

Our house is a zoo again. We let both kids get hamsters again today. The boy wanted a lizard but Mom put the brakes to that quickly. I was ok with it.

I've never been to a pawn shop so I stopped by a couple today. Prices were not as bargainey as I thought they would be. Lots of "stuff" but not much in drum gear.

The one place was sort of sketchy and the owner had a HUUUUUUUGE handgun on his hip. Of course, it was in Flint so.........

Pawn shops only pay bargain prices. Otherwise they couldn't afford for people to leave stuff. Usually stuff is just a used price.

Never understand that TV pawn show where people walk in expecting top dollar for their items. It's a pawn shop!

We have music stores that buy and sell a lot of used stuff. Around here music stuff gets sold to the music stores unless it's stolen, then they think they can sell it to pawn shops. But most music items people keep track of and turn in the serial numbers when stolen.

Please quit sucking all the moisture out and send on some rain. It is "raining" now but I bet we don't get a 10th of an inch all weekend.

Cold but not rainy enough to keep the Pepper inside, but wet enough she gets to stop and get toweled off when she comes in.

Good Monday morning all.

For the third time in 4 weeks regular trash pickup is not on Monday but Wednesday due to a holiday. Oh well, no big deal for us.

We ended up with almost 3/4 of an inch of rain after the ice left. We did not get much ice around here thankfully. Today I need to run my El Camino through the touch-less car wash a mile from home. It has a an undercarriage spray that will knock off any remaining salt from last week's snow. Then I can can hand wash the paint to get it decent clean. I don't like the touch-less car wash since to get the undercarriage washed it want to do the full treatment and the chemicals are kinda hard on the wax. Better that the salt and other chemicals staying under there.

I washed our cars yesterday. Of course it's gonna rain tonight!

We have winter weather advisories starting for ice/sleet. Tomorrow is will be all rain. We should hit 50 by week's end.

I need to get new tires for the Suquinox. The good thing is they are only 16 inch so it won't be too expensive. I just use an all season tire.

Yea, I lot of people must just love some French toast on a snowy day. I don't understand that at all. There were several types of soup that the shelf was empty. As if a very large family has to have cream of celery soup on snowy days.

I have another interesting historical job I am working on for a client. He wants very high resolution images of his house from before October 1988.The city has decided that his driveway is not legal and has to be changed. He wants to prove it has been that way for longer than 30 years and is grandfathered in. I told him we have it flown in high resolution in November of 1986 but not 1987. It looks like that will work for him.

We had a bunch of freezing rain starting early this morning. Our road was 100% ice covered but the highways were OK. Raining now and is supposed to go back to freezing this afternoon again. Maybe 50* by the weekend. All I know is everything is a mess.

Freezing rain/ice sucks way more than snow. Good luck Brent. Hey, how 'bout them Packers?

Glen, Richard, we're supposed to have rain starting Thursday and ending Tuesday. Grab on to your socks!

Send it on. We never ever have to worry about mudslides. We could use a nice week of rain and 10 or 12 inches of rainfall. Of course when we really get rain it is 14 inches in 24 hours. With luck we can send the storm on to Rick as snow. Since he does not love us anymore we can wish snow upon him.

Oh great.

The IT network manager gave me a PC Laptop all setup with PC apps that let me do management for some of their server stuff. I didn't need that PC laptop as it is ALL Web based? Was able to manage everything from my Mac?

To get the PC laptop to "Work right" they monkeyed with my passwords. Had 3 different ones depending on what services I was logging into and they tried to make them all the same. Now, every time I try to login to some of the fileservers it not only fails, it disables my login on everything? Not even the laptop they gave me lets me login. Seems they didn't get it to "Work right" after all.

Been having problems with the passenger headlight on my Turbo. Go over some bumps and the plug gets loose enough it flashes and goes out. Been driving the S at night waiting while they replace parts trying to get it to stay working. Now the interior lights have quit on the s. Maybe I just need to swear off night driving. Kinda tough when it gets dark at 5:30pm.
