RKDinOKC 10-01-2017 02:45 PM

Everyone must be out enjoying the beautifully temperate fall weather like me.

Lately been watchin this Yahoo channel thing on AppleTV. It's got all these full length movies. All kinds of weird flicks ain't seen b4. Some good, some bad, some just weird. Some are somehow flipped left to right so all the text is backwards. Some are foreign with subtitles. A lot are english with foreign subtitles (good thing the subtitles can be turned on and off).

A couple of months ago took my cable box and traded it for one of those contour boxes. Haven't bothered to plug it in yet. Been just watching stuff on Kodi and Yahoo.

Tryin to figure out how to get my AppleTV on a VPN so I can watch F1 on Skynet. Probably have to buy an aditionial router. Evidently you can't run a VPN on AppleTV or Airport Routers. Would be neat to have Kodi and/or AppleTV to be able to automatically use the correct VPN for whichever channel/programming I am watching.

Good Monday morning everyone.

Hard to believe it is October already. Christmas will be here in a few days.

Porsche-poor 10-02-2017 06:56 AM

morning all. another long weekend trashing out stuff to all the relatives. We went thru dads old house and handed out all the stuff that he and mom wanted us to have. Then we took a look at what is left and each took a bit more. I think in two weeks after I get back from North Carolina that we will not include him and do the hard stuff as in take it all to good will and empty the place out.

GH85Carrera 10-02-2017 08:10 AM

It is really tough to throw out stuff you grew up with, and your parents loved, but no one wants now. Been there, done that. I still have some crap I just can't throw in the trash.

Porsche-poor 10-02-2017 08:47 AM

I'm sure we will have some of that. I took 100lbs of canned food to the food bank, I have lots of bedding to send to good will. Most of the pictures and knick knacks are taken care of. He has shed of filled with lots of bits and pieces that I think my brother and I will go thru and just leave the rest for the new owner.

RKDinOKC 10-02-2017 08:49 AM

My sisters will trash it for you, and not even give you an option to keep it. No, I am not bitter.

RKDinOKC 10-02-2017 08:50 AM

Okay, yes I am.

Porsche-poor 10-02-2017 08:50 AM

something tells me once you send them out here I'd be stuck with them............

RKDinOKC 10-02-2017 08:53 AM

Nope, but will most likely be too busy to help anyone.

Porsche-poor 10-02-2017 08:56 AM

I'll pass I have two kids that fill that roll.

flipper35 10-02-2017 09:00 AM

Morning or afternoon or evening all.

Next week is the IT conference in Austin. I believe we are driving down this year if we can work it out. I think it would be a good opportunity for the kids to visit and we skipped our normal vacation time this year to attend my wife's graduation when it comes up in February.

flipper35 10-02-2017 09:01 AM

Funny. Our 7 year old was begging to do school work today so he could get out of chores. Kids!

Hey, are ya gonna be coming through Oklahoma City?

I am just a few miles from the interstate. Richard lives just a mile from me.

We can meet up and just say Howdy, or if you have time we can eat somewhere good. There are some cool RT 66 restaurants around. I would love to meet you and the kids.

flipper35 10-02-2017 09:17 AM

Depending on which route we take for sight seeing on the way down and back we may be. We haven't finalized anything just yet.
