Glen my favorite passenger was my wife in my 911 on R rated tires at Laguna Seca back in 2001.
After a 25 minute session the first thing she said when she got out of the 911 was "I will never question you again when you want to buy tires."
So I've had that going for me for the last 20 years.
20 years ago being hounded by nice guy Anthony Rimicci in his Santo's prepped Alfa.

Wooo Hooo. I got up to 55 degree weather. I like it!

I will be "allowed" to mow the yard today, and I can drink my coffee and read the electronic paper in a relaxed mode, and hit the yard at 9:00 AM and the bonus is the humidity is really low for a change. So no dew, and it feel nice out there.

Morning all. off to go play paper dolls inside a computer for a client. Hours of "out this here, no move that there". It pays the bills.

Sounds like fun David.

The yard is all mowed, edged, sidewalks blow off. I was dawdling enough before I started that I finished late enough to enjoy a cold wheat pop as I sprayed roundup on a few plants trying to grow in the cuts and seams of the driveway and sidewalks.

As I was mowing a gaggle of Monarchs flew up for one of the flowering trees in the corner. Eight or ten of them. They all landed back on the tree as I moved away.

As I was putting the grass in the compost barrel it was almost freaky to have so many butterflies flying around me in a different part of the yard. The freaky part is knowing the honey bees like the same flowers. There must have been 20 different butterflies, most of them Monarchs, but several others types as well.

Time for a shower!

Oh goodie the building lost power over the weekend and now one bank of cubicles is powerless. I give up.

Our former workplace was a commercial building, built originally as a photographer's studio. He could pull a city bus inside, and light it with a ton of bright 3,200K color balanced lights. That takes a lot of juice. He had 800 AMP three phase from the meter. He had several large processors, and a three phase AC system sucking up juice. The transformer for the three phase was just right outside the building, 6 feet away. The guy we worked for bought it, and converted it to aerial photography purposes. No need for a studio so that became office space. We did have two large processors, and loved the three phase AC.

One day, either old age or some power surge blew out part of the transformer. We only got one leg of power, so only parts of the building worked, no AC. I turned off all the three phase components, and called the power company. They replaced it quickly, and we were in business by that afternoon.

They said the pole was very warped, as it leaned a lot. They wanted to replace it and we told them, since it would mean a day with no electricity, do it on a Friday, and we get a three day weekend. The were scheduled to do it, and the May 3rd F5 Tornado hit Moore, OK the second time. All the line crews were working on that instead. They never did get back to our pole. I should drive past and see if it is still leaning, but I guess I really don't care. Not my monkey, not my circus.

What fun. Building swears there is power to the cable exiting the floor but there is no power at the desks. So the thought is that something inside the cubie walls popped.

Electricity is really easy to detect, and a lack of electricity is even easier to detect. At least it does not leak out all over the floor and ruin the carpet.

Might make the office more fun if it did leak out onto the floor.

So back at Laguna Seca I presume?

It is a good location. It is a long two day drive for me. I will miss it unfortunately. One trip to So. Cal per year for me. Palm Springs will be enough for me.

Been to a few of them, had fun.
At 36 seconds I was caught (black t shirt/khaki shorts) detailing Erich's red 962.
We already have 3 maybe 4 sound free race weekends planned for Laguna next year so that's enough for me.
My favorite track when it's too hot to race anywhere else.

Morning all. The rain is here. We need it to knock out the wild fires and get the smoke out of the air.

Yes, Laguna seca. I’m flying into San Jose honestly. It’s not the most fun drive from here even.

Yea that trip from where I-40 comes to an end through Boron is horrid. Heavy truck traffic and just nothing to look at except dirt blowing in the wind.

And beauty spots like Lost Hills. I guess they lost the hills when the oil was sucked out.

Once ya get to Monterey, it is all wonderful.

My wife has a "knitting group" that all come here on Mondays to discuss knitting, and seek advice from my wife on knitting problems on the projects.

They were trying to plan to all go to a movie together at a local theater. It was like trying to schedule a meeting at the UN. They finally gave up, and they are all coming here to watch it.

So there will be lots of left over cookies and snacks I suspect, Darn it.

Evidently the movie, whatever it is is one Mrs. Carrera guessed I was not interested in seeing. It is on Amazon, so that will work. We do have a neat surround sound system, but just a 60 inch TV.

Well you better play host so there are leftovers or the boss's wife might just pack them to go home with the others.

Yea, there better be some extra snacks, I "was allowed" to pay 6 bucks for them to watch the movie on Amazon Prime. What a deal. It was some movie that sounds stupid, something about singing crawdads. Crawdads can't sing, no vocal cords, and would they sing in English or Cajun? Maybe when eaten the person starts singing. I have no clue.
