The start cord wouldn't budge at all, took the spark plug out and drained a good .5 ounce of oil out of the cylinder and it started after that. It still wouldn't idle though. Then one of the bolts on the blade guard rattled loose and it fell into the blade.
a bolt into the blade sounds entertaining.

oops, wasn't clear on that. The bolt is lost, god knows where, the plastic blade guard dropped into the blade.

Good Morning.

Looks like shaping up to be a pretty spring day in these parts.

Be careful with that talking dirty today.

Hope that lot got trimmed up without hurting anyone or doing more damage than good.
The last time I rented any equipment it was from a rental place not Home DePot. They started it up and made sure everything worked before they let me leave with it. Same thing when I brought it back.

Jeff, good to read you escaped from where they keep all the sick people. Let's hope the next time you go back you're just visiting or at the most in a catch and release program.

It is always nice to get out of the hospital.

The sun is out so we will be digging in the clay. It is pure gummy clay suitable for making bricks. One shovel full, then the scraper to scrape the clay off and a trowel to scrape the scraper.

It will be a blast.

Glen, have you considered getting into pottery. You could sell that clay! There is a place called Frankoma Pottery, maybe you could start Glenoma Pottery.

Have you tried waxing the shovel blade?

Heard waxing the shovel blade with plain ol' car wax or floor wax would help keep clay from sticking as much. Haven't heard about using Nipple Lube. Maybe worth a try.

And if none of that works, you could also try cock grease.

Glad to help, Jeff! We all want you to be healthy so you can take on all of the various critters in Oz that want to kill you. That's more sporting!

Sure wouldn't think anyone needs any rooming with sick people training. Especially for retirement.

Yea yesterday and today is the definition of some pretty weather. It was weird yesterday, there was NO wind at all.

We got a little of the wall built. Enough to convince Mrs Carrera we are not very good at it.

David, you will probably do well that way. Seems people don't want a spine any longer these days so everyone will probably leave you alone. Wouldn't want to offend you or anything you know.

We had great weather. Started working on the replacement garden fence for Jenny. She saw paneled fence pictures and thought that would look nicer and be easier to trim around than just chicken wire fence. Sunday dad and I took the kids to a friends house. Jacob has been wanting "all his life" to shoot an AR and he had a brand new one he wanted to break in so Jacob helped with that. Em got to shoot a Garand and said she can brag to her friends that she got to shoot a real battle rifle.

Joe, so your safety device became a projectile?

So Jeff, now that you have had your end of retirement training you can put that off for a good many years and enjoy regular retirement training.
