Here's an interesting discussion of how the firing-order (Right-Left-Left-Right) makes a VW or Porsche boxer four sound different from a Scooby-doo (Right-Right-Left-Left). Except, what happens next?

My DD is an '08 Outback, my son has a WRX and daughter drives a Impreza RS. The WRX with a few tweaks gives my 911 fits. We do enjoy the all wheel drive up here in the snow.

I have always had a Saab. Currently we have 2 95 Aeros one for me and the other for my wife. wonderful cars when you need 4 doors and 4 seats. Plenty of carrying capacity and good fuel economy, not to mention performance.
Had BMWs....not a big fan. Had a Honda and a Nissan 510.......Honda yuk, Nissan was terrific.

05 and 02 Outbacks in the stable here. Living in PA we need the awd for the winter. The P car hibernates in the garage until spring.

As you can see, a lack of horsepower isn't always big concern for me. The teener and yo' truck are gone, but the Suby soldiers on. It just does too many things well to let it go.

Our '03 LLB Outback wagon (purchased new) has been a trouble free car for 6 years.
Trivia: The '02 models did quite well in the Paris-Dakar rally.

You people are GREAT!!!!!
My love for Subaru came before my love for the 911, they are both as strong. '07 Outback ( I have gone through several 02-06 WRXs and a 96 Outback Sport) and in regards to the other post. I also own a Truck.

I have a 1983 Audi Quattro Turbo Coupe that is modified beyond reason, and an 81 911 SC Targa...
Those are my cars for the forseeable future... the quattro is never going anywhere, and i'd like to think the same about the sc, since i inherited it from my father... Michael |

That's an interesting Idea and a good hypothesis. But in this case unfortunately I don't match the curve.
I have a 1983 911SC, The wife has a 2002 Suzuki Areo Before that a 1984 944, and she had a 92 Geo Metro.. Way before 1965 Mercury and she had a Nissan pickup But it a great topic .. :-)

Negative.
That said, I have considered a Subaru before and I do have a 4x4 large SUV and a hatchback as daily drivers in the family - just not combined in one package. George |

An old thread, but still. . . Yes, we have a Subaru in the garage. However, it has cost more $$ to maintain it than my 911 has.

Banned but not out, yet..

Current cars in the garage: 06 Outback Wagon, 10 Jetta SportWagen TDi with snows.
Formers: 01 Suby awd legacy wagon, 2 Audi Quattros. AWD is not a luxury, but a necessity living here and if you ski/board.
