They did have a good run. If it kept going the entire family would have ended up suing each other.
I liked watching it when I had a tv.

It was good but in the end all episodes were the same, just the bikes were different.

Wow Sr. looks old in that photo. I actually enjoyed watching the first few episodes before everything turned into a clown show.

This was a funny comment someone left:
A tool company wants us to make a bike. Fight. Ok I’ll weld a wrench to the front of it. A bulldozer company wants us to make a bike. Fight. Ok I’ll weld a plow to the front of it. Coca-cola wants us to make a bike. Fight. Ok I’ll weld a coke can to the front of it. Wash rinse repeat.

That nails it. I lost interest long ago. I hated all the drama. I loved watching the build, hated the yelling.

Why didn't they find a hot chick welder to be in the show? Add some T&A amd it would have lasted 3 more years, IMHO.

That would have made sense, but then the focus would have been on the hooters and not on SR. That's why they had to build that headquarters that big - in order to house his gigantic ego!
And is it just me or did Rick and that machinist guy do all the serious building/fabricating after Vinnie and Paul Jr. left? What exactly did SR do anyway except test drive and "unveil"?

I actually had a chance to sit down with these guys and visit a bit, several years ago at Sturgis. )I caught them in the wee hours of the morning when everyone else was still sleeping off the previous night's drunken debauchery.) They struck me as a pretty darn nice bunch of guys; soft spoken, polite, no yelling and cussing to be heard. As a father, I found myself talking more to the old man than anyone else. He's a pretty normal dad. Very proud of his kids, loves them to death, and would do anything for them. Far different than his on-camera role.
Oh, and by the way - he thought as little of Sturgis and the new crowd showing up there as I did. He felt he had to be there, what with the show and all of that. I didn't have to be, though, and my partner and I were actually packed up and leaving when we saw them (after less than a full day there). We were heading back west for a ride instead. Paul was envious...

Saw one of the bikes up close -- the AMG one when it was here at home office. I can appreciate the craftsmanship - but the show was rather boring. When they have to focus on the fights and anger-based outbursts instead of the bikes, then it's over. IMHO, it was over long ago...

I caught a few minutes a couple of weeks ago. Seems the theme of this show was how his dog was sick and he found it important enough to call his whole shop together, cry, and tell them how his dog is the most important person in his life. If I was there, I would of laughed. Talk about somebody losing sense of reality. Could be why the show is getting canned.

Goofy show, but I still have to admire the guy for living out his dream of going from an iron manufacturing background to building motorcycles.

If they'd ever built a bike that wasn't a monstrous eyesore I might've been interested.

The show is played out, but I respect Paul Sr. for what the guy did. He built a business from nothing, rode the TV angle out brilliantly. It was a ground breaking series in a way. You didn't really have a lot of these car/motorcycle build shows on when it came out.
