It's actually a pretty good idea- it's the fact the light is in the shape of a horse that makes it cheesy.

Drunk cowboys stepping out of their Mustangs can now avoid stepping in their puke.

Hmmm..."944" might be more appropriate. "well set up", of course.

Upon further thought -- those Mustang lights are tacky, in a check-out-the-new-chrome-side-vent-decals-I-bought-at-WalMart-for-my-Civic sort of way.

Want to leave an image -- two strips of rubber from a burnout make more of a statement than any cheezy door handle lights.

Just sayin'

Thats too weird for me. Reminds me of those counter rotating hubcaps(or whatever) u see on some Escalades when they are stopped at a red lite. I still like the original Mustangs with the V8s made around 1965. No doubt some will be drawn to the light, as in just go towards the lite(the last chapter?)However in support of the old Mustangs, the movie Bullit with Steve McQueen was the best car movie ever made and gives the Mustang great credibility

Other than the cheese factor, I really do like those lamps. I bought a 2001 Explorer new and it came with "puddle lamps" under the rear view mirrors. They came on when you unlocked the car remotely. I loved them! They were a problem in that the bulbs deformed the plastic lenses after a few years making the underside of the mirror look crappy.

I figure the pony projectors will fail in some equally underengineered way.

Paul, as usual one of your Mustang threads has failed to gain the approval of the forum, and as usual you have responded by essentially referring to every critic as an America hating Porsche snob. See a pattern here? Do you feel the need for all of your purchases to gain the approval of strangers on the Internet? It's really quite sad that you've spent months on a Porsche forum basing the subject marque while extolling the virtues of a muscle car with consistent results, yet you don't seem to get the hint. You obviously enjoy your Mustang which is great to hear, but can't you simply keep it to yourself? Are you honestly so full of yourself as to believe that everyone needs to agree with you?

If I had the free time I'd join a Mustang forum then dedicate my posting to how Porsche is better in every way. I suspect that the reactions here would be downright kind in comparison to the beating I would take, probably ending in a ban from the forums. But I wouldn't do that, because I'm not an arrogant and stubborn fool. I also realize that different people enjoy different things, and just because they may vary from my interests it doesn't make them stupid or wrong.

Puppy, In some cases, negative attention can be as good as, if not better than, NO attention.

I think a generic calvin pissin' should cover all the calvin pissin' variations.

I did? Gee, I just re-read every post I made on this thread..I don't see that type of "referring" in any of them.

Mine is the base model. No ambient lighting just the GT package and 5 litres baby! I just light up the tires at will.

Reg, page 80..February HOT ROD. A bolt-on feature about the 5.0 Mustangs..a fairly simple 50 horsepower boost without going to a blower. Look for it on a newstand near you soon.

(edit) Be sure to check out the Tech Q and A on page 90 as well...it's funnier than hell!
