There is a Porsche God. My son who was a Toyota master tech, was just hired by the local Porsche dealership. It realized there was a treasure trove of experience in the old grey heads of their current technicians who would be retiring soon. So he and an ex-BMW tech (both in their late 20's)were taken on to learn the Porsche way from the experienced current techs and to be the "next generation" (their phrase). He now smiles condescendingly at my '77 911S--- but I can get hard to find parts at cost.

The one old grey is amazing. He is factory trained on everything from air cooled 911s to Carrera GTs. He did a clutch job on a Carrera GT and works on all the new Porsches as well. And yes, I have his personal cell phone number ![]() Congrats on you son getting to work there!

That is why I like to see what is being done to my P car particularly if it is an expensive job. Good luck to your son. I am sure he will do fine.
