Not that hard, but it would either have to be in the garage door or the wall perpendicular to the front door. I live in an interior unit townhome.

Jackpot End of a saturday neighborhood sales got a bunch of scrap metal. Table saw and router table work good. Pressure washer i dont know. Also found an ibenez guitar for 40 bucks and a box of 80 or so lego mini figs for 5. Then one last sale on the way home almost passed it by. Looped around and he had a pile of diecast! 17 exoto cars and 25 or so 1/43 I bought them all for $350. No boxes but they are all quite good condition. Im excited. Now have to make room for them so i brought in a display cabinet I had in the garage to put in the hallway My madness is ever expanding

It's not mine. Yet. But I have my eye on this.

What is the maximum you would pay?

I have no use for 3/4 of everything I buy. So I thought I could add this this my pile of things I don't really want.

Take it to a PETA meeting. That would be priceless.

Wow. Easily 2k worth of Exoto there. That Phil Hill sharknose is very desirable. The 917 as well. I gave up on buying one, ended up with a Minichamps which was made in the same place but with 80% of the Exoto detail. Congrats.

I went to an Estate Sale on Friday after seeing a unique concrete bench on craigslist. Unfortunately, they wanted $450 which was way more that I wanted to pay. I returned on Saturday hoping that they would have everything half off - which was the case. However, $225 was still too much for me. I strategically stuck $100 in my pocket and asked if they would take it as that is all I had - they took the deal.

After getting this 400lb beast loaded into my truck, I went back in and bought a variety of new fertilizer, pest control, snail bait (9 bags total and all new). I paid $22 for everything. It seemed like everything was overpriced except the fertilizer.

Here's the bench:

Estate sales are always overpriced. My neighbor just had one this weekend. Its a big scam. The guys they hire to run it just price everything crazy. They didnt want the owners there for obvious reasons. They give their buddys great deals on stuff. And at the end when half of it is still there they take it away for a price and sell it and make more money. And the owners have no way of knowing how much they actually made they just have to take whatever the estate people decide to give them. My other neighbor wanted a garden trailer they wanted 100. he offered 50. the guys said come back tomorrow, So he did and talked them down to 30. I guess thats how it always goes.

I used to go to a lot of sales. I've worked a few. It's hit and miss. There are some good folks in the business but you're right, they all know each other. That's how a lot of the business gets done. The public are just the punters after the cream has been skimmed.

Mine isn't that far off but I'm going to get a head start on my own for the next year selling off the big items one at a time. There is no money to be made when you have a big sale and a lot of people are just there to be there and maybe grabbing a few things.

One of my major dealers that has fed me work for 10 years with antiques dating back to the 1700's is sinking faster than the Titanic. His few estate sales were very realistic but he tended to be brief once the actual public sale began. He knows.

Found all this stuff on various curbs. The pressure washer runs good the pump was messed up bolts stripped out and assembled poorly. I mixed and matched parts with a spare pump I had and got it working. also it didnt have the hose and wand but i have a bunch of extras and found one that worked. My neighbor is borrowing it now. I probably wont see it again lol The bicycle was sitting in the guys weeds for years iv seen it there. I can tell its never been ran he never got it going. I shortened the chain and replaced the pedal side. Cleaned the carb aswell but its still not running yet. The sander is for picture frames apparantly worth about 80 bucks so ill be selling that. And a like new pair of callaway golf shoes.

Kinda a score.
My mother is planning on taking a cruise with her sister next year and my aunt told her that she should get a scooter since the ships are so big (if I had suggested that, she would have slapped me sillier than I already am. Well, I friend whose father passed recently, was clearing out his father's stuff and had a basically brand new scooter. He had just loaded it up to take and donate, then he called me and asked if I thought my mother might want it. Well, yea, I had been keeping my eyes open for one and now she has one, a free one.

Two leather chairs for $100. I love it when rich people move out of state. Turning the hangar into a man cave.

My latest tool upgrade on FB Marketplace. Sold this cheapo QEP tile saw that I use for small projects and upgraded to a very nice Kobalt 24v cordless with a sliding top that sells for $400. My net cost was $50.

This week the wife said our granddaughter should have a trampoline. OK. I noted one for around $400 at a big box store but when I tried to order it, their web page locked and I couldn't complete my order. Hmm. So I went on kijiji and looked and a bit farther away was this Springfree unit for less money. Their kids had grown up.
His wife and daughter helped me carry it to the trailer and strap it down. Fifteen minutes after I got home, it was set up and the granddaughter was thrilled.

I'm not sure why I couldn't order the one online, but I'm glad things worked out the way they did.

Best
