Watching this tonight.

This movie is cheezy like a Hallmark movie, but enjoyable if you like dogs. You can tell where the movie is going all along until the end and it will surprise you. Based on a true story and a great story. This preview won't ruin it, which is nice.

On Netlix...Pepsi, Where's My Jet?
A very entertaining true story. I'm halfway through it and it gets better and better. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lzS8BQBcAu4" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Looks like this was never mentioned, at least in this thread. Fantastic!

"Prometheus" - just staring on IFC....Ridley Scott......
|
Big fan of that movie. Became a Noomi Rapace and Idris Elba fan from that. And it increased my appreciation of Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender. Watching it for the cast alone is worth it.

Been watching "Creed" on TNT. I've seen it before but didn't pay as much attention. Good movie....especially if you appreciate the Rocky franchise, as I do.
Yellowstone coming up at 8! |
On TCM tonight, a short documentary well worth watching on the Horn and Hardart Automats.
I remember eating at the NYC one while visiting my grandparents in Staten Island in the 60's. As always....commercial free! <iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HWNkIsLEny4" title="The Automat Official Trailer (2021) HD" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

She was the one who took myself and my brother to some of the sights downtown NYC when we visited early 60's. I couldn't remember the name of that place we ate at where you stuck in some coins, opened the little door, and pulled out your food. The Horn and Hardart Automat! Included also was Radio City Music Hall.....the Empire State building......the Statue of Liberty......the Staten Island Ferry......the Staten Island Zoo......hell....the friggin' World's Fair! <iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/EUrUfJW1JGk" title="Frank Sinatra - New York, New York." frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

From 2015, and streaming on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon etc. Stars Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Topher Grace, Connie Britton, Walton Goggins, John Leguizamo, Bill Pullman, and Tony Hale. The story is about a stoner who discovers he was part of a secret government program and is a sleeper agent. Groggins is one of my favorites, and he plays a basket-case called "Laugher" who, of course, laughs with evil glee. There was something about the story that I could not really define, but when reviewing the credits afterwards, I saw it was written by Max Landis, the son of director John Landis (Animal House, Blues Brothers, American Werewolf in London) so kinda think the creative skills absolutely runs in the family. It's a dark humor, deadpan, and hyper-violent affair with a boatload of action. And most important, quite entertaining way to spend 90 minutes. A solid 8/10 for me. |
Sat down with the Wife and watched "Where The Crawdads Sing".
She read the book and after watching "City Slickers" and "Walk The Line" I figured I'd have to suffer through a"chick flick". Actually not too bad. Great Production Design, good directing and acting. |

Saw it last night. Groggins is one of my favorites also. Also, you described the movie well. I could not come up with a good description myself.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...s/beerchug.gif |
