I prefer this one over the 2007 remake, which is also very good.

Both Ben Wade and Dan survive in the original, unlike the remake.

As always....commercial free!

The 1957 original is much better than Russell Crowe's version. :)

How d'you do, I
See you've met my
Faithful handyman
He's just a little brought down because
When you knocked
He thought you were the candy man
Don't get strung out by the way that I look
Don't judge a book by its cover
I'm not much of a man by the light of day
But by night I'm one hell of a lover
I'm just a sweet transvestite
From Transexual, Transylvania, ha ha
Let me show you around, maybe play you a sound
You look like you're both pretty groovy
Or if you want something visual that's not too abysmal
We could take in an old Steve Reeves movie
I'm glad we caught you at home
Could we use your phone?
We're both in a bit of a hurry (right!)
We'll just say where we are, then go back to the car
We don't want to be any worry
Well, you got caught with a flat, well, how about that?
Well, babies, don't you panic
By the light of the night, it'll all seem alright
I'll get you a satanic mechanic
I'm just a sweet transvestite
From Transexual, Transylvania, ha ha
Why don't you stay for the night? (night)
Or maybe a bite? (bite)
I could show you my favorite obsession
I've been making a man
With blond hair and a tan
And he's good for relieving my tension
I'm just a sweet transvestite
From Transexual, Transylvania, ha ha
Hit it, hit it, I'm just a sweet transvestite (sweet transvestite)
From Transexual, Transylvania, ha ha
So, come up to the lab
And see what's on the slab
I see you shiver with antici-
-Pation
But maybe the rain
Is really to blame
So I'll remove the cause
But not the symptom

'Inheritance' on Netflix.
A mystery/thriller movie that I thought was very good.
Simon Pegg plays the bad guy and plays it perfectly.

Good movie, the main actress looked a LiL too much like Riley Reed... I couldn't get her outa my head while watching it..

^^^ Only the back tats will tell the truth.:)

Simon Pegg deserves an award for this movie.

Yes, I agree Peter!

On now..from 1970 and directed by Don Siegel....."Two Mules for Sister Sara".

Underrated Clint movie?

The Good Nurse on Netflix
Based on a true story....very good acting by the two main characters.
I read the book a few years back and the movie is just as good.

Equalizer 3 is in production on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, set to release Sept 1, 2023. Co-stars Dakota Fanning, who played Pita in Man on Fire. Yay!

Everything from the classics that I had already seen in the distant past that are of course great movies (Godfather movies, Gone With the Wind, etc) to regular Hollywood garbage throwaways.
My biggest surprise:
Vanilla Sky.
Loved it. Ended up rewatching it more times than I care to admit.

I watched Vanilla Sky last night. I saw it a long time ago, but didn't remember what happened. An interesting plot concept for sure. Cameron Diaz played a woman on the wrong end of the hot/crazy matrix and Penelope Cruz was in the opposite unicorn section. Penelope couldn't have been more attractive in every way here- holy smokes. A brief appearance of a Ferrari 275 and several scenes with a Bullitt-type Mustang rounded out the cast.

Not aware of that. I will take it upon myself to watch Penelope Cruz in the original. I'm totally up for a better version of this movie- thanks for the suggestion!

Penelope Cruz is watchable in anything! Makeup effects are weaker in the original, but I think the studio probably meddled in the Cruise remake.

"Jurassic World" on TBS right now.

Great syfy flick!

Agree that Penelope Cruz is watchable in anything!

Looks good, Peter!

I put this in the wrong thread yesterday:

Couple Jack Palance movies....last night "The Professionals" and this morning "The Desperados".

Really enjoyed Burt Lancaster's character - the explosives expert - in the former.

I told someone about Vanilla Sky and they suggested The 355. I think Penelope is immortal- she doesn't look like she's aged 5 years in the last 21. Jessica Chastain is still looking great, too, along with the others in this movie. It's not awesome, but it's entertaining. Came out this year:

Ian Tyrrell liked it.

...

I found a good copy of this a while ago and watched it back to back with the Pierce Brosnan version (1999).

- I prefer the 1968 version but the 1999 version has Rene Russo dancing in a clingy dress... Hubba Hubba ;)
