I'm happy with a good remake. I saw the original so many times, I can't watch it anymore.

My uncle told me he met Hunter Thompson when he was on his "walkabout" in the early '70s. He said Hunter dedicated Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas to him. It said "To Bob Geiger for reasons that need not be explained here- and to Bob Dylan, for Mister Tambourine Man."

I believed him for decades, occasionally asking him what that was about. He always told me they had a pact to never reveal that. Even after Hunter died, he wouldn't tell me. Finally after my uncle passed away, I looked it up, and it wasn't my uncle, it was some doctor in Napa. That's my uncle Robert- always a prankster.

"In the Heat of the Night" just finished on TCM.

Steiger's best movie. He won Best Actor that year, for good reason.

Maybe Poitier's best too.

Just watched one on Netflix with Brad Pitt called "Fury."

That is an intense WWII movie.

All star cast.......

I was a really funny movie last night.

Ted2. Not an intellectual move at all, and full of profanity and silly situations. Of course a living talking Teddy bear is silly to begin with. It is still a very funny movie for my sense of humor. I had seen the original Ted, and I like this one better.

Watched it...some very realistic scenes.
As always...it hurts to watch war movies. My father fought in the Battle of the Bulge and came home unharmed. I still picture him over there when watching a movie like this.

We saw Argylle yesterday. It's a really fun movie to watch.

Blood Father. On Amazon Prime.
Mel Gibson, pretty good movie. Erin Moriarty is not bad... not bad at all.

One of the most sensational movies I've seen about organic farming and hard working with the balance of nature.
A lot of extra animals and poop and labor involved...

A California couple, along with help from many other people, leave the city apartment, and turn a large patch of worn-out dirt into a thriving productive ecosystem and business.
Lots of good stuff in there.

A protected indoor space for a 'worm farm' trench, with a 24hr 'tea brew' for the bio effluence, and a dependable fluid spreader is all it takes to turn hard sand rock into black soil. The soil feeds itself.
