Lol good idea. By the way did you ever get a chance to compare that ice green metallic sample that I mailed you?

I haven't but it's on my list for this weekend so I'll let you know. It's funny that it's different from the Spies, Glasurit and PPG.

It was the formula in the system so I’m just curious

That's what's so interesting, all them it's just the formula. The Glasurit is Easter mint green and they put a bigger metal flake in, the Spies has a slight pea tone to it which looks very German but not entirely correct, the PPG is in the middle of those. I have to find my cards too.

Yeah for me a formula is just a starting point. Hopefully one has an original sample to then adjust to get it right.

Bringing in the bottom of the rear turbo flares as they are super square and a bit awkward relative to the front fender and the rear of the quarter while also giving a lower profile to the quarter at the same time

That's what I've been wanting to do for years. Have a rear quarter with new profile flare in clay that I still have to put on a car to see how it works with the tire. Looking forward to seeing your final result.

Given the opportunity, that would be awesome. But I would not stop with just a desk. I see double wide filing cabinets !!!!

Progress report on the custom headlamp bezel that we had to make as we sloped the lamps back about 15 degrees. Initially we thought we were either going to make it out of brass or worst case carbonfiber plated with chrome however we successfully stamped it out of steel and hand-hammered the return flanges. Now off to the plater for a thick plating of acid copper that we can finesse them just prior to to the final chroming.

This pic is prior to hammering the flanges. This is fresh off the press.

Almost finished product. Just needs some finessing and plating

Nathan, great job! Mind if I ask what kind of material is used for the black flanges around that bumper molds? Looks like a thin ABS style plastic. How are they attached it to the bumper, so it doesn’t fall off?

Thanks.

It has been way too long since i've posted on pelican or on this thread. The Subtle Stuart build had to take a bit of a back seat but now its full bore to completion. Here's a pic of the custom headlamp bezels as that was the last thing I posted

Custom wheels made by Alter-mann. Definitely wanted something more aggressive due to the theme of the build being my rendition of a 1973 RSR street car.

Custom gauges done with Carbone, myself and John Bell. Many hiccups but they are almost perfect. John was the only easy part of the equation for what it's worth

a quick peak of front suspension and brakes. KW Coilovers with onboard raising and lowering, 964 RS spec components, BBI 993 uprights, custom 996 calipers. Not completely finished but gives you a good look
