Paul,
There are so many stories. We just wanted to get the mixture right for an auto-X the next day, not spend the night in the hoosegow. Best, Grady

Friday night before an event and the RS 3.0 with the high butterfly RSR motor with megaphones- we had to check out the shifter adjustments , of course. So the neighborhood gets a few passes in between adjustments. We are back in the shop doing some other sort of work on the car when the red and blue lights come flashing down the driveway: "You guys see some motorcycles racing around here?" "Uh... No we haven't officer" "Thanks - have a pleasant evening"
You bet!

Grady, that's a beautiful story! It's like the officer who dropped by after a friend and I had just completed a failed experiment with a sizable amount of black powder, producing an explosion that could probably be heard 10 miles away. As we were sitting there smoldering next to the shreds of our home-made cannon, officer O'Reilly pulled up in his patrol car. "Mornin' boys. You hear any explosions 'round here?"
"No officer, we haven't heard any explosions," we lied, poorly. "Hmm. Ah don't reckon you'll hear any more explosions 'round here, will ya?" "No, officer, I don't think we will." "Good." Then he drove off. Ah, the joys of a mispent youth... Dan

The guy who does my carbon fiber fab makes CF motorcycle exhausts. I'm tempted to have him make a similar one for the 911. Basically it's a bare-bones TIG-welded stainless steel frame, around which he wraps prepreg CF. Very light, and very cool looking.

last time i heard , ashes are good fertilizer so you're helping the enviroment... the filter , ok , that's no good.. but flikking ashes = 400 $ fine?!?! yep , i know why i refused to go to the US for business... not for no stinking arabiac terror, more for this sort of monkeybusiness... doesn't make sense... same goes for that jackson booby... over here they bore us to death flashing that that single boob on tv, prime time anytime... wasn't even a full set ![]()

John,
Think about the guys flying an airplane with a radial engine with 9 cylinders and two plugs per. Double it for a twin engine plane and it gets expensive. Then look at a double row radial engine and its 28 plugs per engine and so on... not a cheap hobby! JoeA

how many topics are in this thread? i'll pick one. i also hate the loud straight pipe harleys. i admit i dont know crap about them, but why do they always blip the throttle while sitting at the red lights? do they run like crap, and they need to do that to keep it running? i used to like loud bikes, (rocket bikes) but i realized a long time ago that i didnt ride to the bikes full potential whether it was loud or quiet, so i chose quiet. my bike sounds like it is running on electricity when i am next to a loud harley. but i love pulling away from them! wish i could pull a wheelie, i gotta get a liter bike. i cant resist to show off sometimes. oppsy.
