Tim:

I looked at an Iris Blue '86 Targa that was for sale in Idaho- but it needed paint so I decided to pass. Great color though. I ended up with this Stone Gray Metallic '89- absolutely love it!

Cheers,

Paul.

Happy Boys!

These two pics are of me and by Bro from Manhattan after the annual resort (Idaho)
car auction. Different years, but same pose! Happy days, hours after buying both.

Welcome 84CarreraSC! (I see this was your first post).

You'll find lots of valuable info here to keep your Targa in good health.

Even with the squeaks, leaks and rattles, the Targa is still my favorite.
Art, Helga is beautiful... the polished Fuchs were an excellant choice.

I always thought that when I finally owned my first Porsche it would have to be a coupe ... smooth flowing roofline ...

Well as you know, my first Porsche is a 24 year old Targa... 110 with the top ... off wind in the hair ... I wouldn't trade it for a coupe ...

Here's mine -

Thanks! Have not seen many this colour. It is called Ziegelrot. 811 The dupont paint code is W8242. I am told another name for the same colour is Kiln red. My car is an 82 and should not be this colour....but it is factory paint. My understanding is Ziegelrot was only used on 83-84 cars????

First post, still soaking it all in and trying to dust off what I knew 22 years ago when I owned my last Porsche. Here is my new baby! Looking at really detailing her this weekend and putting on a cat and muffler bypass. I will keep you all posted. You guys are all an incredible source of knowledge.
