My '81 SC Targa has Webers, SSI heat exchangers and a standard longhood muffler converted to 911R style, with generous amounts of throttle and RPM the Webers sound like Niagra Falls and the exhaust note sounds like a cross between a woodchipper and shredding cardboard, glorious sounds! With the top off that is, you lose 90% of that in cooler weather when you need the top on,

Makes me feel sorry for the coupe guys who do not get the total Porsche experience,

I've always thought the same. My top sits in my garage unless its 45F or colder

I keep my top folded under hood just in case, but garage works, I extend the top-off experience in colder weather with a cold weather outfit, heavy hooded sweatshirt, cotton work gloves, and a ski mask
