Here is my new (to me) ride.

Had her a little over two months and already have a long list of things I want to change. But won't get to serious about making any big changes until I can stop grinning every time she starts up.
Love the Targa top nothing like having 93million miles of headroom although this time of year around Chicago I am going to have to settle for being happy with the top keeping the wind out.

I looked at each & every post on this thread.

Here's my vote for the coolest looking 911 Targa of them all..............

Makes me want to start another project, as if I don't have too many as it is.

Hello Targa Friends,

I have a 1971 911 Targa and I'm curious to know if anyone can tell me about their experience with targa seals. I will need to replace the seals on the back bar and side, front top windscreen, and the tow on either side of the targe roof. I'm particularly interested to know about the quality of the fit. I hear stories from other targa owners who bought them and then couldn't fit the roof. Apparently the thickness of the rubber is not made to original specification.

kind regards
Paul

22 years and counting. Every time I think its time to sell and get a coupe, I realize I can't part with this car, despite the leaks and wind noise! Its our summer "early morning run to the Hamptons" beach car...

That's a beauty. Only thing I'd change is the ride height: she looks high overall, but especially in the rear. Get her to the proper attitude, no matter whether you lower her or not, and the handling would be like night and day, IMO.

Thanks Ed, I agree the rear does look a little high. Dropping it a little will make it just right.

Happy New Year to all
