911S Targa 2.7 Sahara Beige

Hi guys, I like targas. Great for sunny days, engine's sound is enjoyed better and women love it too. Everybody should have at least two 911's: a coupe plus a targa or cabrio.

911 Targa type 901 True 911 1988

Porsche created the Targa and many followed. Porsche still creates Porsches with a Targa top like the 918 but Targas are not inexpensive any more. Some think a Targa top can be slashed like a Cabriolet, but no, the Targa Top contains steel plates to protect passengers. The Targa is a major part of Porsche history and with the 911 type 901, the last of the Targas are now 25 years old. The ultimate Targa 911 is the Werks Turbo-Look. The Turbo- Look is the true 911 type 901 with everything Porsche could put into it at the time to make it a significant piece of Porsche history. it has the true 911 type 901 motor with serial number to prove, PLUS it has the brakes of a 917, full suspension, wheels and wide body etc of the 930 but better because most 930s came loaded with all options where as the 911 Turbo-Look could be ordered without weighted items slowing it down and decreasing it's handling. in 1987 Porsch added still wider wheels, improved the Targa top in 1988 and added the G-50 Transmission making the 1988 Targa the ultimate Targa and the works Turbo-Look version the ultimate of all type 901 911's. this particular Targa may also be the last custom ordered Werks Turbo-Look with the only options being cruise control, and paint to sample thus making it one of the lightest of its kind, it also has the 22.5 gallon gas tank.

Wow, too many pic's of Targa's with the top on, and in nice looking weather to boot!

I went to a show and shine and found many people who have NEVER removed their top, because they didn't want to fold it and get creases! I'm not one to tell others how to be, but it seems crazy not to get a coupe in that situation.

If you don't need the back seats, the targa top fits behind the font seats unfolded.
