Lots of great cars in this thread!

Here's my 1982 SC after a detailing. Since it's pretty nice cosmetically, I'm concentrating on mechanicals for now (all elective surgery :-)).

However, in the future, I think I might like to go with body-color wheels, and a front air dam and duck tail combo. Thoughts?

IMHO a duck looks best on a narrow body. sharkfins and ducks don't coexist. The IROC spoiler works well for your consideration.

I was wondering about that (but doesn't the pre-SC Carrera with the duck tail have the wider body that continued into the SC and Carrera 3.2?). I also should have said "lip spoiler", not air dam.

Anyway I like the sound of your coexistence advice, but what's a sharkfin?

I don't really care for full-on whale tails (on my car), so perhaps I'll do nothing and like it :-).

Thanks...

Just to keep the thread alive, here's a sweetheart of a 72 911T that I drove last week:

Edit: It was so sweet I decided to buy it!

mike thomas... beautiful car man !!!!!!!!!! ALL i would do to your car, besides driving the snot out of it is to change out the USA rear black bumpers and put on the euro narrow ones and you will save 10-15# in the rear also.

Sweet lookin' car man... dont tail or front spoiler it... MAYBE, just MAYBE, I might put a "S" front spoiler on it but that reqiures paint and you will have to change out the existing fogs you have now or figure if they will still fit...

Great Lookin' car AS IS !!
Bob

Your car would look just fine with a ducktail.

Your 911 looks AMAZING! In fact, the next two posted after you are wonderful too. Targas rock!

Targas+Ducktails look super in my book. Here is my 87 Targa with a duckie.

Thanks for the example photo. Pretty car! I'll have to consider on the conversion. I've spent enough money for a while ;-)

Keeping the thread alive! I'm three weeks into my relationship with my 85 and it keeps getting better each time I get behind the wheel!
