Targas are truly cabs with rollbars.

I wonder, how much weight I can reduce by replacing the back glass with a zippered soft window?

Here's some more BLUE for you.
This is a 74 special order Bahama Blue, a little bit darker than Mexico Blue, only one i've seen.

Here are a couple of pics from the archives, circa 1988. I wonder if that white on red Turbo-look Carrera Targa is still around...

My 88 Targa

Here is my favorite picture of my car, although it does not show its current 17 inch Rota wheels. There are some very nice Targas on this thread.....

Thanks for the kind words. That road is called Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mtn Nat'l park here in Colorado. I have heard its the highest paved road in north america. The air is really thin up there and the power of cars gets crushed up there, but its really beautiful. The views are stunning as you can see.....happy new year all.

Here's mine. Great cars! Has anyone seen the Targa retrospective in the new "911 and Porsche world" magazine? It's great. Highly recommended.

Am I the only one who noticed this rare one? Please tell us more about this car? Us Americans never saw this car in our neck of the woods. Only the SCs that followed. Any additional info is appreciated.

I think there are quite a few C3's in the States now. But yes, it is slightly rare compared to the SC. Lots of good info at www.911carrera3.co.uk. The C3 had 200bhp (and a fair amount of torque too) compared to the 165bhp of the 2.7 that was shipped to the US.

This specific one is a matching number car which has been left reasonably stock. The dry climate has also been very kind to it over the past 32 years. Not quite a daily but definitely a weekly drive!

I see we have very similar looking cars..nice!
