Updated pics

With the winter projects over & the car back on the road, I thought I would post some updated pics. I added a Ducktail, 993 mirrors & deleted the rear bumper stips & guards.
Comments welcome. Enjoy.

I like it Andrew!

Wow, that tail really cleans her up nicely.

But with it lite weight, are you planning to drop her a bit in the rear to compensate?

Just Wow

Draco, thanks for the comment.
I am surprised by how much the rear end actually came up. I think lowering will be next winters project.

That was a good day at Blackhawk Sabeo! How'd you end up liking the Autobahn in Joliet?

Hey Sanford, I like Autobahn... I think because AB is a larger track than Blackhawk, at times it feels a little slower and easy going as opposed to Blackhawk... Your constantly working and pushing yourself at blackhawk because the turns come so quickly.

How much turbulence in a Targa

Never driven or ridden in a Targa. Every convertible I've every ridden in (not that many) just created too much turbulence and wind noise to be enjoyable at anything but low speeds. Is the Targa any better. There are definitely some beautiful Targas in this thread!!

Tom,
You pay a price for open air motoring. How much noise depends on the indivual car. How much you want it depends on you. My car starts to get noisy, not uncomfortable, above 65.

P.S.
I just noticed that your question regarded turbulence. Much less than a cab., but more than a 914 or Boxster.

The Boxster ref helps

I drove a Boxster last month. Just had to make sure I was on the right track in searching for another air cooled 911 (it's been 22 years). Wasn't impressed with the Boxster compared to the SC I drove a couple weeks ago. I guess I'm just a coupe guy. Dry eyes are a pain in the a$$. The price of getting older.

Wind Noise

Tom,
The wind noise (buffetting) level in my Targa actually varies depending on the weather. I've had times when the air was calm and a tad on the humid side and the wind noise was OK all the way up to the 100-110mph range. I've driven the same road when it was less humid and there was a fairly strong side wind and it got super noisy at closer to 60-70mph. It's loud enough that you have to raise your voice to carry on a conversation, but the buffeting seems to come and go as the weather changes. As mentioned above though, its about a love for open air, so for long trips I keep some ear plugs and eye drops in the car to go with the sun screen.
